I absolutely love getting my Toyota Sienna serviced here!! So do my 4 kids. I actually plan my service appointment so that I can take them all. Our Sienna was ready so quick, it only took about 50 minutes, which was great. It would be great even if it would have taken longer, because the service center is so accommodating. They got my car in sooner than what I expected and completed the service sooner. I dropped my car off late in the afternoon and expected to leave it over night and get it back the next day by noon. completed the service sooner. The bottom line is, these guys are ruthless as far as trying to make a buck. Granted every car dealer wants to make as much money as possible, but this was the worst car buying experience I have ever had trying to make a buck. We spent 4 hours looking at the car and negotiating a price which we thought was fair. Both myself and my significant other felt good about it, and we thought that it was a fair price for the deal. I was paying cash for my vehicle, and due to delays with banking, we gave several forms of payment to bring the total to the agreed upon price. Because of this, and because my SO was loaning me some money, we missed that we were being swindled at first. They played with numbers on my trade and after reading the contract more closely, I discovered they gave me FAR less than agreed upon. They also charged us $1000 more than origionally agreed upon, so that they essentially got my trade for free. We were in the parking lot before my significant other and I began running the numbers again and realized something was not right. So, we walk back inside to talk to Larry, hoping it was a simple misunderstanding. Instead he went through a whole dog and pony show to try and get out of what was right in front of us, trying to explain away why the numbers did not match up. The truth is, if it had been a misunderstanding, he would have skipped the going back and forth to management to get an explination, and instead would have immediately apologized and pointed out that there was a misunderstanding. After the 4th time he went back to talk to his sales manager, we got fed up and asked to talk to his manager ourselves. The sales manager came out, immediately aggressive and condesending. My significant other is a VP of sales with an MBA, who understands how numbers work. The sales manager was very disrespectful to me, when I asked him to stop being condesending he became argumentative and agressive. My S/O attempted to step in to diffuse the situation by pointing out this was a business situation and his tone was inappropriate the sales manager invited my S/O to "Go out side". It quickly escalated, egged on by the sales manager, neither myself nor my S/O could get a word in edgewise, until I finally stopped the situation by demanding my money back for the car. It was extraordinarily unprofessional and I will never buy another vehicle from any dealership associated with Karl Malone. More
I love coming to Karl Malone Toyota to have my Tacoma serviced, not only are they knowledgeable but they have the best sales people. They don't pressure you into buying anything, they are just pleased to serviced, not only are they knowledgeable but they have the best sales people. I came to this dealership with a recommendation from a friend, this was downright the worst experience ive ever had in buying a car. I was told by the sales manager that other car dealerships would just s friend, this was downright the worst experience ive ever had in buying a car. I was told by the sales manager that other car dealerships would just stick me in a car that they knew the banks would not approve just to get me off the market, and they would never do that well i guess they forgot that part of what they told me. After 6 hours at the dealership they stuck me in a car that they knew would not be approved due to my credit issues, yet they still let me out of the door took my check with the down payment, and my trade in title. When they were going over the payment with me i said more than three times are you sure that they will approve this, the sales manger assured me that they would but the payment would be higher. So i took his word for it and took the keys for what i thought was going to be my new car. The next day i recieve a call from the finance crew stating that they were not going to be able too finance the car they just had me do all the paperwork for, and that they would work on a list of cars that would fit the criteria the banks would finance by the time i got there after work. So kind of angry i went to the dealership after work, and 4 hours after the call i recieved i got there, and waited 2 hours for someone to finally come to me and tell me that they didnt have enough time to work on a list, and they would make sure that they would have a list ready for me and an appointment with the salesman, and sales manager who helped me on the day i got the car. Even more angry at this point, i reluctantly agreed to come in. So i come in the next day after work tell the receptionist that im here to see the salesman, and that i had an appointment, she paged him when he came up to me i came to the realization he had no idea that i was coming, and had no idea that i had been denied the car they put me in. So no list was made, no appointment was made, and i got a blank stare from him. They sat me next to the room where the sales managers sit, and i had to continue to hear the sales manager jon, berate me to the rest of the people in there with the door open, and saying what he said loud enough for me to hear it. "This guy is impossible to work with ive already shown him 18 cars im done with trying to help him" the fact is they showed me 7 whole cars, and kept trying to get me into a used car that i didnt not want. After an hour and a half of hearing this, and a car list that was supposed to be done by the time i got there, they showed me a kia amanti and said they called the dealership and that the car would be there for me to test drive the next day. Reluctantly i agreed to come back giving them one last chance at redemption. The next day i came in and seen my car parked back at the front of the dealership, at this point i came to the realization that they were not going to help me, and waste more of my time. When i came in my salesman came to me with my car keys in his hand, and continued to tell me that the kia that they showed me yesterday was sold, and they could not find any cars that the bank would finance, after giving me all the jargon about how they would. All in all this was the worst customer service ive ever seen when going to buy a car, ive never been so disrespected in my life, i would never recomend this dealership to anyone wanting to buy a car and i hope no one ever will again. More
We've always had great service and today I was in an out in 45 mins (as estimated) for a 75,000 mile service. We're very pleased with the way we've always been treated. Thank you! I was met at my car within seconds of putting it in park and turning off the engine. She was courteous and friendly and made sure to personally find me when the service was done and was patient walking us and turning off the engine. Toyota makes good cars, but for buying, selling, or service I recommend you use another dealer. I called in wanting to gather general information, and (right or wrong) I wanted to remain anonymous to avoid any haggle and sales pressure. I know they call me often, and email me, if I give them information. I suggested I would trade-in a car for buying a new one, but wanted to know a ballpark of how much they would pay on my trade-in. Afterall, they're comfortable listing MSRP for new cars without a VIN, and Kelly Blue Book can give a ballpark price for used car values, so it's not a far stretch to presume they could give me a ballpark value over the phone, without commitment, by knowing the year, make, model, mileage, and non-identifying information. They refused to give a value, and the guy on the phone didn't even attempt to hide his dis-contempt he felt towards me. And, by the way, my name is irrelevant to the value of a car; but he would not proceed to cite a price without it, and I wouldn't give my name to an angry xxxxx. They also don't need a VIN to give a general ballpark value of a car. I'll concede they might need an inspection and the VIN if I want to pull the trigger; but my initial goal was to see whether they would low-ball me, hence I should sell my trade-in elsewhere, or whether they would have an enticing offer. No luck with the guy. I told him even Kelly Blue Book can give a ballpark estimate. I requested to be escalated. While on hold I heard him actually insult me as an idiot to one of his co-workers, and mention my request for a price idea. He lost my business by saying he thinks I am a waste of his time, and his manager's time. The call was never escalated, and he hung up angry. In an on-site visit I had come to them after having visited another Toyota dealer, and I made it clear that I was intentionally comparing two dealers. We got as far as having a car chosen, and a price arranged between the salesman and the manager, and this was despite the hassle of dealing with pushy car salesmen. I went to sign papers, but it was near closing time and the financing guy didn't want me to read the forms, and had a significantly higher price and a longer financing term. Glad I read the fine print; but that was four hours wasted. Why does it take that long, and why will the financing guy not honor the pricing the sales team promised? More
Brought my Toyota in for the first scheduled maintenance service. I used the easy on-line appointment scheduler to select an available time for service and received an automated reminder note on my cell ph service. When I arrived, the customer service person greeted me with a friendly simile and kindly showed me to the comfortable waiting room where there was plenty of very nice seating, Television, wireless Internet connectivity, drinks, etc. My car service was performed right away and completed within the expected time frame. After completion of the work, the service advisor reviewed the information related to the maintenance and answered my questions in a professional and polite way and I was back on my way to work. I was SO impressed with the service here. I was greeted in a nice manner. The guy knew what he was doing and was efficient to getting everything done. The customer service was second to none. :) I was then extra EXTRA surprised when I came out and noticed my car was not just with new oil, but was clean. The outside was clean and a great clean smell on the inside. I felt like they went above and beyond on the service. I am coming EVERY time I need service for my car.
