My experience with kia ev specialist Baltazar gonzalez was one that will not be forgotten. I Went into the dealership with my son after a scheduled appointment for an ev6 and was told by a salesman that I was one that will not be forgotten. I Went into the dealership with my son after a scheduled appointment for an ev6 and was told by a salesman that I had to prequalify before test driving the car. Much to my surprise this was not mentioned to me over the phone and I explained to the salesman that I was interested in test driving and not prequalifying. The salesman left and came back with Baltazar who told me that I had to prequalify for this vehicle before test driving it, otherwise all customers would come in for test drives and put hundreds of miles on the car which was limited due to the ongoing chip shortage. I explained to him that I was aware of the chip shortages and that I had a Mustang mach e outside to which he replied "NO one is lining up to buy that car." After basically calling my car trash I decided to end our conversation and walked out. I was really insulted, there is no need to talk to people like that. One should have a little class and try to sell cars and not insult potential customers. I am an owner of a Mustang mach e, my wife has a Tesla model y and my son a Nissan leaf. We wanted to buy a car that has more range than the leaf. We test drove a Hyundai Ioniq 5 last week and a Telsa model 3 yesterday and I wasn't asked to pre qualify before test driving. To top this terrible experience, every ev6 we saw had a markup of $10k. More

Tried to buy a car. They never call you back when they say. Was mid negations when they sold the car out from under me. Said the manager got in a car accident and could not call me back. We established with the dealer that we would be buying a vehicle for MSRP plus tax, tags, etc. All the details were worked out and we set an appointment to sign. We packed up the family and drove the hour plus only to be met with great disappointment. Upon arrival we were met with camp run a muck. Ultimately the manager explained that the car we choose was in great demand and that he wanted $10,000 over MSRP and went on to say some other victims have paid as much as 25K over MSRP. Needless to say we had NO DEAL with the red shoe, self absorbed manager and went packing without as much as a good day from the entourage at Jersey City Kia. Stay away from these thieves at all costs. More

HIDDEN FEES We agreed a final price and the financial manager asked me to sign on his keypad without showing anything. the final price on the contract was $1500 more. when i told them immediately, they said you signed it already. they didn’t want to adjust the amount. they asked me to come back next day. when i went back there next day, they asked me to fill out a form to cancel the gap insurance in order to get back $1500. i had to go there for 5 times. the problem was still unsolved. when i called the dealer everyday and many phone calls, no one cared, answered my calls and called me back. finally i had to give up this $1500. Everyone is so rude there. Once you signed the contract, you’d see the opposite version and the worst attitude of everyone. DO NOT go to this Jersey City KIA at all. More
After working a long shift, went to leave work and found I had a flat tire! Had my car towed to the Kia service center. First I want to say upon arriving was greeted by a gentleman, who was very friendly I had a flat tire! Had my car towed to the Kia service center. First I want to say upon arriving was greeted by a gentleman, who was very friendly and helpful! He took my information and told me to sit and he would be in touch with me. He came back and explained I had a nail in the tire and that it’s been in there for a while. He said we could patch the tire, and if I wasn’t happy with the feel of it to come back! I told him I would rather a new tire. I also asked if they could check the fluids in the car if they had the time. Within 30 mins new tire, fluids filled and I was on my way home. There was no pressure selling, or saying you need this! They did what I had needed! I’m not from Jersey City, I work in Hoboken, but I also travel 49 minutes to work. I’ve been to other Kia service centers for my car! This Kia center in Jersey City is by far the best! They were very busy, and had the time to fit me in. I want to Thank the gentleman at the office for being so very helpful. Also Thank-the tech who serviced my car. This is a 10. ThankYou! More
