The impression the salesperson had after your presentation and test drive was that you wanted to shop a couple of other vehicles before making a decision. Obviously, he did not realize you really wanted additional assistance and guidance to purchase the Golf from us. Dear Not a Fan: We are sorry that we disappointed you during your last visit. We certainly want to do everything possible to assist a guest who has leased three Volkswagens in a row. It sounds like we need to have a second look at your lease proposal. We don’t have your name and may be guessing here about the vehicle involved. Here is what we recall. Vehicles that have been damaged in an accident can be expensive to turn in early on a lease. Accident reports and damage will depreciate a vehicle, even if it is repaired. It may be best to wait till the end of lease term for the return so you can rely on the bank’s guaranteed value under your lease. Then your new payment will be more in line with your expectations.
