Those replacement keys can be expensive; additionally they need to be programmed to your 2012 Volkswagen Beetle in two separate protocols and systems to be fully functional and help prevent theft. I also have sympathy for your round trip mileage to our location just north of Austin, Texas. I live in Driftwood Texas myself and we appreciate your traveling that distance to do business with us, Thank you. To restate our Hewlett service representative’s statements the warranty coverage on your 2012 Volkswagen Beetle is designed to remedy defects in material and workmanship, not damage. Usually, vehicle damage is the responsibility of the owner or an insurance company depending on the coverage. Finally, rather than talk about warranty coverage that will not address your concerns, I’d like to discuss this situation with you personally to be sure to find a solution that addresses your needs outside of warranty coverage.
