Robert we are sorry you were unhappy with your experience with us. We understand everyone is budget conscious, but when dealing with a repair for a 19-20 year old truck we do need to diagnose the issue before starting a repair ( and there is a charge for that) so we can make sure we give an accurate estimate of the costs involved. Since we have never had the opportunity to service your vehicle in the past we have no idea of the actual condition of the vehicle and what other issues might be related to the issues your are experiencing. Additionally in the past many people have come to us thinking one thing was wrong when it turns out to be something else, which we find during our diagnosis. Please let us know if we can be of any help in getting your 2003 truck back up and running properly.

When we repair collision or body damage repairs under an insurance claim, it is not unusual for our technicians to find hidden damage that was not discovered during the estimate process. Since we want to make sure our customers vehicles are repaired properly and take pride in doing an excellent job, it is not unusual for us to submit what is called a supplemental estimate to the insurance companies for review and approval to perform the additional work, which is what we did. Unfortunately for you in this case, the person who did this was not aware that you had a high deductible and would be paying for this out of your pocket, as normally supplemental adjustments are normally just approved by the insurance company. Since we did make this mistake, once our management team was made aware of it we did not charge you for the additional work. We are sorry for that mis-communication but would like you to know we stand behind our work, so if you do have any additional concerns please feel free to contact us.

Yes I agree you did take the extra $249.00 off after I complained. It took several phone calls to accomplish this. The purpose of my review is to warn others about this policy. It seems you agree to the insurance price then pad the bill for more. I know this because they did EXACTLY what was on the insurance estimate and then added extra hours to increase the cost. SO there was no extra work they simply added hours. How do I know this - because I compared the estimate to what they charged. Now had there been extra parts needed I could understand. This was purely padding the bill and I am fairly certain you always do this. If you agree to the estimate why would you then go in for more hours? There was not one single piece of extra equipment added and the parts actually came to $13.00. Nice try - I will be contacting GEICO and GM as well to let them know of this. I am a retiree and trying to rip off older people during an extremely troubling and economically unsure time is horrible. I have been a General Motors customer for over 20 years and I am pretty sure they know nothing of this policy. I still have the bill and the estimate so I have proof of what I am saying.

This was for a 1st Oil change and Tire rotation so it was pretty straight forward and no cost to me, had to make a call to find out if it was ready but other than that it was good. More
