We bought a 2018 Ford Escape in June 2018 and have nothing bout trouble since July when the radiator cracked!. Ford has declared it a Lemon and we have been without a car for 2 months! No one returns phone calls from the dealership and we were told to call Matt at 9:00 today (Monday)to find out if all the paperwork is ready ...and He his off on Mondays! The only way we seem to get any answers is to drive up there and stand in the lobby until someone will speak to us! We have asked to speak to Mr. Davidson and was told that the only way to talk to him was to leave a message on line. On Friday I received a call from Ford reclamation specialist Debbie asking if we had our car since she was unable to reach Matt to see what was going on. This is totally unacceptable customer service! More
Taken advantage by the Dealership On June 18, 2018 I called Davison Ford for an appointment to have my oil changed on my 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid. The woman I talked to made the appoi On June 18, 2018 I called Davison Ford for an appointment to have my oil changed on my 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid. The woman I talked to made the appointment for June 20, 2018. I asked her how much it will cost and she told me $38.00 + tax because they were trying to compete with Mavis Tire . I went to the appointment and had the oil and filter changed. When they were done, the service advisor Robert Huppman told me he recommended replacing all 4 tires and to get a front and rear alignment. I told him I would think about it. He proceeded to take me to the cashier. At that point the cashier told me it was going to be $77.66 for the oil and filter change. I asked the cashier what happen to the $38.00 + tax for a total of $41.03 that I was quoted. She said she didn't know anything about that and the oil that was installed was the most expensive they have. The reason I ask the price (when I called) was to compare it to a previous oil and filter change that was done for me at Davison Ford for $49.63 tax included. Since they were trying to compete with Mavis Tire, the lower price seemed ok to me. I have both receipts and the oil and filter used were the same on both, 5 quarts XO-0W20-QSP and Filter FL-910S-B12. I paid $36.63 more then I was quoted. I paid the bill and left. At that point I went to Firestone Tire and asked the service manager to replace all 4 tires and do an alignment. They replaced the tires and informed me that there was nothing wrong with the alignment. Davison Ford put it on the receipt that they recommended an alignment. WHY? I left Firestone and went back to Davison Ford and asked to see the service manager to question him. After waiting 1/2 hour with no Manager in sight I left. It was obvious the manager wasn't going to talk to me. I own 2 Ford Fusions and my family owns Fords too. Needless to say I will never do business there again and will never recommend them to anyone else. More
Customer Service I brought my truck in for a noise in the driver's side front wheel. It sounded like a bearing. They said it was the passenger side bearing. When I picked up the truck the noise was still there. I brought it back and the tech said it was the driver's side. They wouldn't admit replacing the wrong bearing and would not do any compensation for their mistake. Very poor customer service. More
Entire winter of 2017 I had a 2015 F 150 that had the door lock recall, when the weather gets cold the doors will not unlock or lock. If you were to manually unlock the doo I had a 2015 F 150 that had the door lock recall, when the weather gets cold the doors will not unlock or lock. If you were to manually unlock the door, example i had to leave my window down alot just to get into the truck, the door then would not close cause the latch was froze up. So you would have to slam the door multiple times in order to get it to close. So Davidson Ford in Clay was the dealership i went to for the recall work due to location. 1st visit was excellent, they got me in and performed the recall work. 2 days later my left and right rear doors were back at it again and now my driversside window wouldnt go down more than a few inches and stop. Anyone that lives up north knows a frozen window will not budge, this window would move a few inches then stop and if you hit the switch down again it would try to move but could not. It would go back up though and back down a few inches and repeat. Maybe after 20 times playing the up down game it would begin to work. So anyways my 2nd visit i brought the service writer outside to verify the complaint, i am a mechanic so i know this routine. He gladly came out and verified the window issue and door lock issue. I sat for a few hours and was told they were unable to duplicate the issues. I asked the service writer how that was when he duplicated it for himself outside in the cold when the problem was occuring. He said the tech needs to be able to duplicate it and was unable to which i am ok with cause i have been there myself at work. Heres where my issues began, the process at this dealer is pull the vehicle into a heated shop and wait for the tech to get to it. The truck was in the shop for a few hours defrosting when they were unable to duplicate the cold weather issue? So i said to the service advisor, does it make any sense for you guys to pull a vehicle into a warm shop when its a cold related issue?. He said that was the process there and unfortunately they have to follow a process. So i asked for the service manager and he comes up and said absolutely nothing. I have never seen such an unpleasent customer relations person in my life, no smile, no hi how are you doing, nothing to me. He asked the service writer what the problem was and he had told the manager. The manager looked at me and said i am not going to make my tech work outside in the cold when we have a heated shop!! Lol, really... so we argued for a bit and i got them to agree to look at it outside next time to duplicate the concern and even offered to remove the door panels now so testing would be easier and not as lengthy outside for the tech. He said they are not removing any door panels now cause they dont want water splashing through the door getting into the wiring!! Lol after replacing 100's of window regulators and door latches, lock cylinders, you name it i can tell you thats not going to ever happen but anyways they apparently think it will so whatever. So 2 days later im back at the dealer with the truck parked outside, service writer says the tech is just getting there and the service manager would come get me when they were to go and look at it. 45 minutes later i saw them coming up from the side of the building twoards my truck. So i walked around the front entrance and sure enough they were standing by the back of my truck laughing. I approached but it was unknown to them and the service manager is bad mouthing me saying this guy is whine xxx who just wants something to xxxxx about and has no clue about blah blah blah etc. The tech and him began to laugh again. So i walked around the front of the truck and made them aware i was standing there listening and the oh xxxx faces were put on. So the service manager again never says a word to me and trys to unlock the drivers side rear door. It wont unlock. He hits the lock/ unlock button at least 8 times trying to get the door unlocked. I couldnt hold it in so i said to him why dont we keep plaing with th switch untill it eventually unlocks and then we have tested nothing but were able to see it does do what the customer says. Told him this is why i wanted the door panel off so they could actually look at the components to find the fsilure not to play with a switch for a half hour in 4 degree weather and call it good. So he never said a word again and walked around the truck checking the other doors, lock/ unlock. They all worked including the passenger rear that was also acting up but wasnt that morning. So he said they would order a latch assembly, my god he spoke to me lol. I asked him about the window, what about the window. The tech said oh yeah the drivers side window i can never find a problem with. The service manager gets in and guess what, the window goes down an inch and stops, so i looked at the tech and said that was hard to find when its out in the cold and not in a warm shop. Probably shouldnt have been rude but they were talking you know what about me so it was game on at this point. So the service manager keeps going up and down with the window, not testing a thing just playing with the switch so again i said something. Now they bring the truck into the shop and i wait. Service writer, not manager cause apparently he cowards at any sign of an issue, tells me im all set except they had to order the rear door latch. I asked what was wrong with the window and the tech had wrote there was a piece of felt tape in the track causing a high resistence when it was cold. Lol really, i asked how much resistence was measured, unknown cause the tech never actually had a meter on it its all done through a laptop now. Really Ford xxx? So again what was the actual resistence measured, he went and asked the techbif he could better explain, id love to hear it. The tech wouldnt come talk to me, cant imagine why, but the service writer came back and said that was the only thing he could find that would cause the issue. I appoligized to the service writer, not his fault at all, and left. A week later, my window is not working agsin and i still can not get into my rear doors without leaving a window down. Bottom line their service department is a joke. So this time i go back but its to buy a used f250 they had on the lot. Called and talked to the sales manager and he told me to hold, gets back on the phone and says great news the truck is here and available, this was at 430 on a thursday. I told him i would be in friday morning at 830 to buy it if i liked it and i show up like i said. The guy is now looking for the keys, the truck isnt there! Lol are you kidding me, nope someone must have taken it to the water town location but give me a few minutes and i will see. 10 minutes goes by, no word from him so i got up and left. Wow is all i can say More

My experience the last year with Davidson Ford has been absolutely awful with their lack of attention to my vehicle issues. I brought my 2016 Explorer in with approx. 18,000 miles with an issue of a “burning oil” smell at acceleration, which was also making my husband and I feel ill from the strong smell. It was in for multiple repairs which stretched over many months and the issue was never resolved even after looping in the Ford Representative (Matthew Anderson). The dealership told me Ford has no idea how to fix my vehicle. The Ford Rep told me he was informed that my vehicle had been fixed and closed my file. Ford is taking no responsibility for my issue. So this lack of caring for a loyal Ford customer has finalized my decision to leave Ford for good after this lease is expired. More

The price was over $15,000 but the guy on the phone told me I could get the Cadillac for $10,200. Because I was trying to down size my price because I can't afford the car I got. But when I get there they didn't want to even to talk about what they again to. To get me down there so if you get a call from them please be careful because what they tell you on the phone is not what you will get when you get there . 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔 More
