I live in the San Fernando Valley, and upon a friend's suggestion; I went to DCH Toyota of Torrance to look for a 2012 Toyota Sienna. I previously went to Keys Toyota in Van Nuys and noticed the sales suggestion; I went to DCH Toyota of Torrance to look for a 2012 Toyota Sienna. I previously went to Keys Toyota in Van Nuys and noticed the salesmen were not very informed of their own product. When I asked about the spare tire, my salesman informed me that there was none; which then led to a debate with five other salesmen of "yes....no's...and I don't know." This debate happened again when I asked about the CD system; which went from one CD, to a 4 CD changer, and then back to a one CD system. I also wanted to confirm with my salesman when the 2013 Sienna's were due to arrive, once again he didn't know. Unfortunately, I had to inform him that they usually arrive in the fall (to my surprise, my salesman informed me that he was one of the top sellers in the dealership). Lastly, Key's in Van Nuys let me walk over a $500.00 difference, which brings me to DCH Toyota of Torrance. I heard a new General Manager had taken over DCH a few weeks ago, so I decided to make the long trip to the South Bay - boy was there was a difference in dealerships! My salesman was an older gentleman named Sam Killebrew - loved him. Sam is probably the most unassuming and kindest human being you'll ever meet. If you are about to buy a car and are intimidated about the whole process, I highly recommend Sam. You'll know what I'm talking about once you meet him. Any questions about the vehicle Sam was unable to answer, was answered by an expert that Sam sent to me; and experts they were. There was not one question these guys could not answer; by the way...the spare tire is under the car and it's a one CD system. I also met the General Manager, Phil, also a great guy. Not only did DCH honor that $500.00 difference that Key's did not, they knocked off another $700.00. I also needed some extra parts for the vehicle and they turned me over to the parts manager Rick. I spoke to Rick and told him that I was looking for a hitch and bike rack - he ordered the parts, knocked a few dollars off, and totally hooked me up! I know how awful it is to go to a dealership, wondering who's going to glom onto you and try to take your money, but I've got to say...this was an amazing experience for me - I'm kind of shocked. I loved everyone I encountered; they were nice, informative, and they treated me with respect. I walked away feeling like I was part of a family; I'm almost tempted to make the 40 mile trip just to do my servicing there - that's how great my experience was. So thank you Phil, thank you Sam, thank you Rick, and to all the other salesmen that I encountered - I truly had an enjoyable time, and I'll be back. More
My daughter had a problem with the rim and tire (hit something) on her 2009 Yaris (which was purchased at DCH Torrance in 2009). She goes to school in the LA area and I'm down in San Diego. We saw a car listed online and called to check availability. We were told to make an appointment. It was very clear we were only interested in the one particular car. Drove out for the appointment and were told the car was just heading out for a test drive. We had to wait around for them to find someone to help us and then for the car to return. Were then shown the car and ready to buy, only to be told that the car was likely now not for sale as the person ahead of us was filling out papers. It was hugely disappointing and frustrating. It felt misleading and a bit dishonest. While the people we spoke with were generally nice, they failed to serve us with integrity and in an upfront way, continuing to advertise and show us a vehicle that was no longer available without informing us of what was happening. I would love to recommend this dealership, but, based on how we were treated. I can not. More
The worst experience with a dealership yet. After one year my GPS that I ordered through the dealership stopped working. Not only did it stop working, it does this persistent beeping noise at random time year my GPS that I ordered through the dealership stopped working. Not only did it stop working, it does this persistent beeping noise at random times in the day. For my job this GPS was a must thus why I bought one installed in the car instead of a portable GPS. My GPS stopped working ONE YEAR and a few months after I obtained my car. I purchased my car in the winter of 2009, it broke in the summer of 2011. I called and emailed a few times to the service department before bringing it in to ask about warranty but I did receive any concrete answers. I then made an appointment for my GPS to be checked and Ruby told me it was a part inside the GPS that was broken. She told me that it would be ordered and she would call me when it came. I waited a few months. I never got a call. I called back and asked the parts specialist about it and he informed me that no part was ordered. Wait... what?! NO PART WAS ORDERED?! This was madness. I called back to make ANOTHER appointment with a Larissa in the winter of 2011. She was was able to convince her manager that a GPS from the dealership broken in a year was unfair. (Larissa was the nicest person to me there yet) Larissa called me and said she was able to order a new GPS to replace mine (because she concluded it was not repairable) and that she would call me in a week to schedule another appointment. Once again, never received a call. I proceeded to call back and leave a voice mail but still never was called back. I'm not sure what to do now as it seems this service place loves to get their customer's hopes up then never respond. Oh and don't even TRY to email an inquires. They never respond. The paper on the dashboard you get that says "you might be getting a survey, if you cannot put excellent for all the categories call _____" I did that, did not get an answer. I hate to stoop so low to give them a bad rating but now I believe they deserve it. Thanks DCH Toyota, you have made my life very stressful. More

Came here after shopping at other dealerships with really bad experience. I had talked to Hudson on the phone but the dealership was far from my house so I decided to check them out last. Hudson had given me an estimate on the final price of the car over the phone, unlike other dealership who always wanted you to go in to check out what price they could give you. Hudson got straight to the point, showed me the car I was interested in, test drove it, got my info and showed me the price. Explained where all the cost were coming from. They have additional alarm systems installed on their cars which comes at an added price but I asked if I could opt out of that option and he did it. The price came out almost exactly to what we had talked about on the phone, almost no haggling unlike the other dealerships I went to. Closed the deal within minutes of sitting down and left with little doubt in my mind if I had gotten a fair price on my car, because I did, especially shopping around other dealerships. These guys at DCH are very polite and welcoming, no aggressive tactics or run around, just tell them what you want and they will try to accommodate to your needs. More
I live closer to the Manhattan Beach Dealership. I prefer to travel a little further to the Torrance Dealership and have my car serviced there. I have been getting my car serviced with Marvin's help since I to travel a little further to the Torrance Dealership and have my car serviced there. I have been getting my car serviced with Marvin's help since I bought my car. He always is thorough and honest as to what service I need and why I need it. He even told me I really did not need an oil change every 3,000 miles and showed me the owner's manual that stated I really needed it every 5,000 miles. Thanks The other Yaris guy More
