Seen and Then Not Heard I contacted the dealership regarding a Tacoma for sale. Joseph Tejada reached out to me and encouraged me to come in and look at the truck. I let him know when I was on my way from a location only half an hour away. His exact words: "Perfect, see you soon. Our address is 2909 Pacific Coast Highway Torrance, CA 90505 We'll see you when you get here! The Tacoma is still here!" Showed up at the dealership and informed the front desk I was there and ready to meet him. They said okay. After 20 minutes, with not even a second glance from other employees, I texted Joseph to let him know I was there and waiting. 30 minutes later I was still waiting. Feeling ignored and seeing another dealer with another truck nearby, I left. Three hours later, I received a text from Joseph telling me he was out for that hour and why was I unable to make a deal. I'll let my response speak for itself: "No one helped me. I came and asked for you as you mentioned. Then I waited for 45 minutes. No one else approached me. Personally, if you were not there, someone could have let me know. You could have texted me, (knowing I was on my way even), or the front desk could have checked in, whatever or whoever could have seen to me. I am not one for the pushy car salesman routine, but I was very put off about the style of operations. Thank you for your time, but it's more important for me to feel like the dealer is trying to earn my business than meeting any particular price point or individual truck. I definitely do not feel that here so I won't be back." Do business here cautiously. More

Lulu and Cristian answered all our questions and made suggestions. All with absolutely no pressure whatsoever. They were quite a TEAM! I was looking for a new lease or purchased and narrowed it to the Camry. After doing some online searches i reached out to lulu in the internet sales dept. Dishonnest way of advertising a price I went to the dealership yesterday to test drive and eventually bought a used Mazda 3 which was on a rebate price for $9981.00. I negotiated the price to $9400,00 with no trade-in and $7000.00 cash. My vendor came back with paperwork, I questioned some of the fees, that I did not want… and he came back a second time with an offer, declining the agreed bargain of $9400.00 saying that his manager didn’t accept it and I noticed on the paperwork a dealership fee of $2394.00!!!! $2394.00 ! what is that ? the vendor tried to explain it’s the alarm in the car, the vin registration …I said, please remove that fee otherwise I quit that deal. He refused so I left. It’s a scam they advertised a car with a good rebate and but they charge the amount of the rebate in dealership fees. It’s dishonest way of working, make me waste my time. More

Predatory dealer and predatory loans I want to report DCH Toyota of Torrance is a predatory loan auto dealer. On 4/27/2020 Christine, my daughter, went to DHC Toyota of Torrance, CA to I want to report DCH Toyota of Torrance is a predatory loan auto dealer. On 4/27/2020 Christine, my daughter, went to DHC Toyota of Torrance, CA to purchase a used Subaru Outback at 5.9% interest for 5 years. The car was advertised at $15,444 plus tax and license. This was Christine's first time dealing with an auto dealer. She's not good with money and her credit scores are low as a result. I agreed to co-sign for the loan on those terms. My credit is currently in the 800's. I live in Reno NV and couldn't be with her at the dealer's location. When the papers arrived for me to co-sign here is what I found. The sales and finance people loaded her contract with $2,675 in junk options...including $499 for "door edge guard" which could have been purchased online for $50. They said they couldn’t…not wouldn’t…they couldn't sell the car without these options because the price they advertised was lower than the car's value. So, the advertised price should have been $18,119…I think the term “false advertising” applies here. But, wait…there’s more! They also raised the interest rate from 5.9% to 7.14%. Then, they extended the loan term an extra 14 months. So, now we pay a higher rate for a longer time. Finally, they wouldn't let her leave the dealership unless she signed an alternate purchase contract at the truly predatory rate of 20% interest! This contract was set to execute if I didn't sign and return these predatory loan documents. I stress that they wouldn’t let her leave until she signed a 20% contract. Christine wasn't given copies of either of these contracts. The dealer doesn’t respond to phone calls or messages from Christine or from me. If you’re wise, find another car dealer…these guys should be in jail for essentially kidnapping my daughter and holding her hostage until she signed a contract at a truly exorbitant rate. More
Buyer Beware! After verifying the vehicle I was interested in was on the lot, I drove 89 miles to see it. After looking it over, I liked it. Explained to the salesman I wanted to use my Capitol One pre approval only. Long story short when he was done a $16,000 car cost over $23,000. An extended warranty, gap ins and some auto theft system they add to all their cars (and make the buyer pay for) had been added to the contract. After a bit of negotiating with the "finance mgr",Gamal Habib, he basically wouldn't sell me the car without accepting at least one one add on. Disclaimer I don't have perfect credit but I did my homework before I got there. What should have been a straight forward deal turned into a nightmare!!! Please read the fine print. More
