I was so stunned and insulted I was in shock. I proceeded to take my 2022 Subaru Outback to Sherman oaks Subaru and was out in less than an hour with a complete service. They were fabulous. The Thousand Oaks dealership when it changed ownership is awful. I have purchased 2 new Subaru when it was Ladin Subaru, 1 new subaru when it became DCH NEVER again. I will tell anyone that asks never to do business with DCH Thousand Oaks Subaru More
I felt so used by this dealership. Allow me to tell you my story: We have been searching for a Subaru Forester for awhile. Living remotely, having the Internet allows us to search well beyond our normal boundaries which is great. So after searching for awhile, we finally found a Forester in the color we wanted, at a price we felt was reasonable. Contacted this dealership on a Wednesday. Talked to salesman Kevin, who was very helpful, at first. He responded fairly quickly to our questions, and we told him we were going to be applying for credit, booking flights and hotels to make it down to Thousand Oaks. Thursday, we chat back and forth some more, and late Thursday afternoon I send Kevin a detailed list of 7 questions to clarify a few points. Friday morning I get a text saying he's on his way to the dealership and will get the answers when he gets there. Well, all day Friday goes by, and not a word from anyone via text or email. All day Saturday goes by, and at this point we suspect they sold the car but don't want to tell us. So we email the dealership Saturday night and say the lack of communication worries us and we are canceling the deal. We were pretty bummed but that's the way it goes sometimes. Well, Sunday morning (while at church), we get a call from the General Sales Manager who leaves a voice mail saying "hey, we got your email and we are sorry no one contacted you, but we have the car and we want to earn your business. Please call back." So, we get our hopes up again and call back. The sales manager is busy at that moment but says he'll call back shortly. 3 hours go by and I get a break in my schedule and call, and he says he was just about to call and when I said we still just had a couple of questions, he said he'd call me right back. So while waiting, we start arranging flights, hotels, financing again...(you can probably see where this is going, right?) Just before 6pm, General Sales Manager calls back and says "oh, sorry that car actually sold first thing this morning." Really? Then why did you call me late morning saying it was still available? We felt like we were leveraged to push someone else into buying the car. I went into the whole thing after reading the previous reviews and hoping that the new ownership (supposedly) would be better, but turns out they were still playing the same old games. More

Service Department. Brought my 2017 Crosstrek in because they over torque the oil plug. Nobody can get it off. Should be torqued to 31 ft pounds. They had to chisel off Brought my 2017 Crosstrek in because they over torque the oil plug. Nobody can get it off. Should be torqued to 31 ft pounds. They had to chisel off the old one that they put on originally. Today, go to change the oil. Yup! Over torqued. Rounded off the bolt. Needs to be chiseled off. If they can't follow the proper procedures to just change your oil....imagine what corners they will cut when you need other service? OH....and not to mention they forgot to rotate the tires on 2 service visits. They really are the worst! More

* NO Stars* I am compelled to write a review of this dealership. I did my research, made calls, and made an appointment to see "Danny." We took a day off work and drove 5 hours to this dealership. When dealership. I did my research, made calls, and made an appointment to see "Danny." We took a day off work and drove 5 hours to this dealership. When we get there the salesman starts the conversation with..."before we get into this, I must tell you that we are going 10 thousand over msrp." My husband and I were shocked. Back he goes, "OK, we can go 5 thousand above msrp." Says he's doing us a big favor. We send him back, cut that in half or we walk. They wouldn't come down to 2,500 over msrp. Greedy, greedy, greedy. Had a long list of extras from starlink to clear coat to life time oil changes and some 4,500 service charge and several other add ons. We made our express feelings known that we would not be taken advantage of and walked. I'm sick to my stomach. BUYER BEWARE!!! More
I took my forester in for a reacll repair. I called and made an appointment the week before the repair. They took 3 hours to complete the repair and when the car was being returned to me the service writer made an appointment the week before the repair. They took 3 hours to complete the repair and when the car was being returned to me the service writer noticed that the shift lever handle was installed backwards. He then asked me if I used the car with the handle on backwards and when I said no, I didn't he took the car back and had the technician reinstall the shift lever handle correctly. On their wall in the service lane they say what one should expect in regards to their service, one of which is your car will be washed before you pick it up. Mine wasn't. More
I am giving them 1 star as 0 isn't an option. I had bought a Subaru there years ago when it was known as Ladin. Was looking for a used car for my daughter. They were advertising a Honda Civic for $17 bought a Subaru there years ago when it was known as Ladin. Was looking for a used car for my daughter. They were advertising a Honda Civic for $17019. Called them about, said it was available and told me to come down to test drive it. Got there about 30 minutes later at 6. They couldn't find the car. After about 45 minutes they found it in a service bay but it was blocked by a truck. Car looked good so we told sales rep, Bobby, that we were interested. We spoke about buying it. He informed us that when we go to buy it they will usually have some add ons but we could refuse them. As instructed we came back in the morning, test drove the car and told him we wanted to buy it, and would write them a check. Was told that they add a paint protector that would cost $499, and a stolen vehicle recovery device that would be $799, and engine etching that was $499. Told him that we didn't want any of that. He went to talk to his sales manager and they came back and told us that we would also have to buy the $3500 extended warranty as the car was under priced. So the $17019 car was now close to $23,000. Said that they can't take any of that stuff off. Not sure if this is legal, but I do know it is total bait and switch. Why advertise the car at $17,019 if you have no intention of selling it for that. We wasted over 4 hours dealing with their BS. We drove down the street and bought a Jetta at Neftin VW. Now that is a great dealership. They were honest and actually sold it for less than they were asking. They had added stuff to it, but took it off as we didn't want it. If you are buying a car, skip the dishonest clowns at DCH, check out Neftin. More
