SuperStar of Customer Service When I visited the dealership I was enthusiastically greeted by Chris Powe, it was an hour and a half before closing time and he treated me as if they When I visited the dealership I was enthusiastically greeted by Chris Powe, it was an hour and a half before closing time and he treated me as if they were eight hours remaining in the day. In other words I did not feel pressured he made it a point to discover my vehicle needs and took the necessary time to explain features and aspects of the various vehicle models I was considering. Additionally he took me around the dealer lot to various vehicles allowing me to view and even test drive them. I ended up finding the ideal vehicle with Chris's assistance and then returned the next day to conclude the purchase. At one point Chris had his general sales manager, Bobby Wallace, assist with accommodating my trade-in and the final pricing for the vehicle purchase. Chris then turn me over to the finance manager, Pat Oberer, who reaffirmed the terms of my purchase and effectively explained then quickly wrapped up the necessary paperwork. Before I left the dealership, Chris was certain to spend the needed time to ensure I had a clear understanding of my new vehicle's features and functions and that I was completely satisfied with my purchase. BAIT AND SWITCH We went to this dealership looking for a second vehicle. We were looking at 2011 or 2012 Ford Explorers, something in the low $30,000 range. Since they did not have any in stock, we were about to leave when we saw a new F150 truck with an orange sticker hanging from the rear view mirror that said, "$14,000 OFF" and had small writing underneath that said a trade-in was required and must use Ford Motor Credit for financing. We thought this might be a good option for us and with the discount was in the price range we were looking for. We submitted and application but since it was late on a Saturday, we were told we would need to wait until Monday when the banks were open for a financing decision. So we waited all day on Monday and received no return call. By 3pm on Monday we finally called our salesman and he said they had been busy with people in all day as they were receiving a dealership award from Ford and had not had a chance to check with the banks so he would check and call us back. He called back and told me that the payment would be around $1,000 per month and the finance rate around 14%. When I asked how that was possible, he said that they had shopped the financing through other lenders besides Ford Motor Credit (which we did not authorize). They had submitted THE ENTIRE PRICE OF $47,000+ FOR THE F150 WITH NO $14,000 DISCOUNT to other lenders besides Ford Motor Credit to get this financed. That is not what we wanted and he knew that we needed the discount deal or we could afford the F150 truck. He said he would check with Ford Motor Credit and see if they would finance the truck and call us back. No call back from him... ever. A couple of days later we went to Carmax to look at their inventory, same price range of the low $30,000s. We found a 2013 SUV 4X4, test drove it, submitted an application, got a great interest rate, signed the papers and were out the door in less than 2 hours. LESS THAN 2 HOURS! WOW! The car buying experience at Carmax was so good, we went back the next day and traded our 2011 Mitsubishi in on a newer car and got a great purchase/trade-in price. Even with the upside-down trade-in on the new vehicle, our monthly payment was lowered by $140. We drove away with a 2012 Nissan Altima Coupe and a 2013 Nissan Armada 4X4 and the total monthly payment for both cars was less than ONE Ford F150 “deal”. UPDATE: What this dealership did to me and my husband is nothing short of disgraceful and possibly criminal! I never received a denial letter from FORD MOTOR CREDIT which was suppose to be the only lender our application was to be submitted to to receive the $14000 OFF DEAL. This tells me that CROSSROADS FORD did not even submit our application to FORD MOTOR CREDIT at all and never intended us, or anyone, to get the $14000 OFF deal. I think the NC Attorney General should check into this issue and the unethical sales practices of this dealership immediately. Shame on you CROSSROADS FORD for what you are doing to unsuspecting buyers! More

After spending the entire day with Rodrick, his kind demeanor never waivered. Buying a new vehicle (or two!) can be a very stressful, negative experience. Our Introduction to Crossroads My visit to the Crossroads Dealership last weekend was to explore the possibility of trading our 2011 Ford Fusion. Having previously owned a Ford Esc My visit to the Crossroads Dealership last weekend was to explore the possibility of trading our 2011 Ford Fusion. Having previously owned a Ford Escape, I was very interested in learning more about the current model(s) and what I might be offered for my vehicle. I was met by Sales Associate Doug Benson who immediately made me feel very comfortable. I developed a strong sense that I would not be high pressured and was able to develop a pleasant repoire with Mr. Benson. He shared some of the history of Crossroads, as well as, his background in auto sales. He was very knowledgeable and honest in his approach. We discussed the various options on the Escape. My expectations for maximizing my trade in were very high. I was made an offer and the payment terms were discussed. I left on Saturday not completely satisfied with the offer, but felt that we would be in contact. On Monday, Memorial Day, Doug called and asked if we might get together to reconsider the offer. My husband joined me at the dealership. We negotiated further and are happy to say that we were able to come to terms on a deal with which my husband and I were very pleased. In fact, we drove off the lot in our new 2014 Ford Escape. I am quite confident that we will return to Crossroads the next time we are looking and in the meantime, would anticipate having our new vehicle serviced at the dealership. I was very impressed with what I was able to learn about Crossroads and the values that they place on how they do business and the importance they place on developing a relationship with their customers. We will continue to call on Doug if we have any issues and will definitely look for him at Crossroads the next time we are looking to purchase a vehicle.
