Missinformed staff When your vehicle has a catastrophic failure you are already upset. Now have the dealership you are working with misinform you on what you are purchas When your vehicle has a catastrophic failure you are already upset. Now have the dealership you are working with misinform you on what you are purchasing to remedy the issue. This is what I experienced with Crater Lake for of Medford. Needed to replace engine, was quoted $18,500 to have a NEW engine installed. I said do it. Went to pick it up on a Saturday and found that a re-manufactured engine was installed. That's upsetting in and of itself, but then drive the vehicle for 4 miles and have the engine light come on. Turn around and take it back to have the guy say there is nothing they can do for you as it is the weekend. Did I mention I had to drive (rented a car) 3 hours to get there. Finlay after about an hour or so they figure out that it is something to do with the thermostat (I had to ask to have a manager be called). They do rent me a car for a week and say they will call me the following Monday. They do stay in touch but have mixed messages about what is wrong, saying that it is the tune that is on the truck, then saying they don't know, then saying it may have been an air pocket in the coolant system. Finally they say it done and no longer giving the code. Go down and pick it up on Friday. Jump in and half the fuel that was in it was gone (remember the Saturday before it was almost full and it was full when first dropped off). Point this out to the service guy and he says to either wait or just email a receipt for the fuel. I do and now am awaiting the money. Also after spending $18,500 and not even a car wash plus the cab had trash that was not mine it it. Ford has the same engine on there site for 1200 less then what I paid. Should have brought it someplace else but when you are out of town you options are limited. More
