I was very happy with the purchase of a new Hyundai Elantra SEL for my son with the Convenience Package. I was very happy with the interaction of the sales people (Bishop, Renee), manager (Linda Myers) and head sales manager (Joyce McCarter). I spoke with salesman, Bishop, Wed. afternoon, while he was on speaker in the office with his manager (did not get managers name). He confirmed he had 2 Hyundai Venues on the lot, a blu afternoon, while he was on speaker in the office with his manager (did not get managers name). He confirmed he had 2 Hyundai Venues on the lot, a blue SEL and a white Limited, that were available to drive when we were to drive down on Thursday morning. I let him know the car was for my son in college and we were interested in the cheaper SEL. I let him know I would be driving down from Victorville, an hour drive without traffic and I did not want to mess around or haggle. We discussed sticker price and I went over our bank loan interest rate already locked in. He understood and confirmed. He took my name, email, and phone number. He let me know he would not be working Thursday but told me to ask for David or Daniel when I came in. I arrived approx. 11am Thursday morning 1.5 hours later from Victorville with traffic, with my son and nephew. Asked for David or Daniel, both came out. Introductions commenced and both salesmen left to pick up the cars. Daniel came back with the preferred Venue SEL, took my sons ID, turned on the car, let us get in and check everything out. While he was getting in the car with the boys for the test drive he was called into the office. 2 mins later he came out and let us know his manager notified him that the SEL was suddenly no longer available. I asked why, reiterating we drove down, with the inflated gas prices with the word the car was available. He reminded me the limited was available and asked if we’d like to see it. I said no, we were not interested in this higher priced car. No one called, text, or emailed to update me. He walked me to the manager to discuss the issue and the manager let me know he was the one in the office with Bishop the day before when I called. He completely dismissed me and my frustration. He offered no apology, no respect for us driving down, not even an offer to fill our gas 1/4 or 1/2 a tank. Very disappointed with this dealership. We are a family made up of a teacher, nurse, CSUSB college student, civil engineering and supply chain CEO. We will ensure your dealership will never cross our lips when we are discussing purchasing cars with our family, friends, and colleagues. More
