They sold me service packages for negotiated amount bt wrongly marked it as down payments also the service packages incld toyota care n protection were sold on false grounds sayings its maintained by them but is a third party product. Dont buy cars from this business and its a shame Toyota is supporting such frauds. More
I recently had an experience with Capitol Toyota while searching for a vehicle with specific color and trim specifications. Initially, I was pleased with the responsiveness as I received multiple calls, t searching for a vehicle with specific color and trim specifications. Initially, I was pleased with the responsiveness as I received multiple calls, texts, and emails quickly after inquiring. However, my experience took a turn during an email exchange with the Internet/Fleet Manager, Alfonso Plascencia. I was informed that the dealership was asking for $10,000 over the listed price. Given this, I decided to pass on the offer and requested to be removed from their contact list. Unfortunately, my request was ignored, and Alfonso continued to inquire why I was passing on the deal. After explaining it was due to the price markup, he noted he would pass on the deal but might reach out again if they decided to sell the van at MSRP. As a loyal Toyota customer for over 24 years, utilizing both their service and sales, I was disheartened by the lack of price transparency and respect for my consumer rights at this dealership. The insistence on contacting me against my wishes was particularly frustrating. This experience has definitely affected my view of how Capitol Toyota conducts business. More

I highly do NOT recommend this store! I had a "great" buying experience, but days later... a BIG disappointment. I bought a 2013 Prius with 102,000 miles from a great professional (I unde I had a "great" buying experience, but days later... a BIG disappointment. I bought a 2013 Prius with 102,000 miles from a great professional (I understand that these problems are not his fault). Unfortunately, a day after the purchase the car started making noises and I took it to my personal mechanic. I went back to the store and explained what my mechanic had said, including showing the photo (attached) of the shock absorbers that were the cause of the noise. Another cause of the noise was the poorly installed catalytic converter protection. We tried to talk and negotiate the 'repair' considering the "security" of having bought from Capital Toyota and a safe pre-sales inspection. The car arrived at the store on Saturday and the salesman informed me the same day. On the Monday we went and bought it, the car wasn't completely clean, the seats and carpet were wet, meaning they were really finalizing the process to make it available for sale. After all that, in short, the answer was: "you bought an old car and that's normal". Apart from the personal frustration and, obviously, with the company, I felt diminished for not having bought new. The feeling is: "oh, if you buy a new car we'll give you all the best, but if you can't afford it, take the car anyway". I went from buying a Honda in San Bruno, a car of the same year with 30,000 fewer miles and $1k cheaper, to buying at Capital Toyota because it was a "prestigious and trustworthy" store. The car was delivered dirty and still wet, even though I said I could pick it up another day so they could finish the whole inspection process (since the car had only just arrived). Well, I say, BE CAREFUL! Pay attention BEFORE you buy, if it's an old or used car, because after everything is done, the service is very different from the initial one. Frustrated and disappointed. I will never do business with this store again, nor would I recommend it! Except if you can buy a brand new car without any problems! More
Highly not recommend this Toyota dealership the worst experience First when bought my Toyota Tacoma sales lady told me I’ve approved 3.49% on finance then I said that’s awesome but in my first payment experience First when bought my Toyota Tacoma sales lady told me I’ve approved 3.49% on finance then I said that’s awesome but in my first payment I figured it’s 4.29%. When I asked why is that they told me that percentage is if I wanted to finance it in 45 months not 65. This is the first dishonest and they never told me about it when I was signing the papers. Second: I took my car for first service after I drove 2700 miles only for regular service and maintenance by the warranty service for new cars and not included oil change and release time the service guy said the next services and oil change gonna be at 10000 miles when I asked why and by the warranty condition it should be every 5000 miles but he said no this is what it is🤔😡And again disappointed from Toyota customer service. And the last thing it really made me angry 3 weeks after realize from first service yesterday I start my car and all lights came on and showed break error and check engine light became on at 2800 miles. Again left it in Toyota service for warranty they charged me $250 for almost brand new car and stupid reason so I realized that the warranty is joke. All what I want to say is this dealership wasn’t honest from the first I bought the car till now took it for service they always lie to customers when they want sell their product but after that no any responsibility and they just want to get your money. They lie to you about being able to order a truck because you would get it for MSRP, they only want you to buy a truck on lot for 18k extra. Went to Toyota in Freemont and was helped immediately. Super glad you would get it for MSRP, they only want you to buy a truck on lot for 18k extra. Went to Toyota in Freemont and was helped immediately. Super glad they showed their colors so I don't have to use them for service, because I'm sure their attitude is only how can I make the most money from my customer. More

I'm sorry to say this, but it's a very pushy sales department. It seems like they're ready to take advantage of customers and their situations, even if they don't intend to, which I'm not sure about. department. It seems like they're ready to take advantage of customers and their situations, even if they don't intend to, which I'm not sure about. They don't start with talking about a vehicle. They start with finalizing your finances as if you're 100% sure to buy the car in the first visit. I found that odd and unprofessional. It felt like they're trying to make a customer comfortable, but it was just small talk. It's important to make customer comfortable by assuring them that they're in control of the process. Their approach felt like they try to make the customer uncomfortable and fool them into signing important forms while distracting them with conversations. Approach matters. Usually other dealers double check the customer's consent in written and verbally before starting such processes. And usually customers are given enough time and space to read forms, terms and conditions. Especially if there's a credit report pull involved. I hope they take this feedback as an opportunity to improve. And please, always warn a customer at least 2-3 times before doing a hard credit pull. And please do these things when a customer is ready to pick up a car, not at their first visit. Please assume that last minute changes are possible and completely okay. Please don't get offended if a customer refuses to agree to a deal. They have their own reasons. I've seen most of the dealers follow these ethics and do good business, so I think it should be possible for this dealer as well. More
