Terrible experience with the service department and Ignacio Sandoval in particular. Had "service" done on my truck including a tire rotation. Or so I thought. I always mark my tires to make sure the tires are rotated and when I came to pick my truck up the tires were not rotated at all. I asked Ignacio and he responded with "you don't need the tire rotation". It doesn't matter what I need if I'm paying for a service I expect it to be done. He didn't even bother to go back and ask them to complete the service he just was not willing to do anything about it even after I paid for it. It makes me think if they can't do a simple tire rotation I wonder how many other things they actually don't do especially to customers that don't bother in checking. I've been coming to this dealership for over 20 years and people like Ignacio Sandoval make you not want to go back. To top it all off he had the audacity to try to Up-Sell me on more repairs my tuck needed. What a joke. I hope management gets back to me and makes this right. More
I was looking to purchase a RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid. The dealership would not budge on charging a dealer mark-up - this equated to 25% of the price of the car - a $10K mark-up. They justified this by saying dealership would not budge on charging a dealer mark-up - this equated to 25% of the price of the car - a $10K mark-up. They justified this by saying the car was in short supply and that MSRP is only a recommended price and that they could charge what they like. Do not buy a car from this dealership if they insist on you paying a dealer mark-up. The Toyota dealerships at both Walnut Creek and Elk Grove will not insult potential customers with a mark-up and so my advice is, shop around and don't spend money at a dealership that bilks their customers. I eventually bought my RAV4 at the Elk Grove dealership and it was a wonderful experience. More

Worst experience in life. I was called in today (07/31) for TRD Tacoma off-road green with leather interior with moon roof. I was so excited that I was getting a great deal from this place. But as soon as for TRD Tacoma off-road green with leather interior with moon roof. I was so excited that I was getting a great deal from this place. But as soon as I was ready to take the test drive with the salesperson, another salesperson came in and started changing the price to additional($8,999). When I saw that truck the price was 45k and then he changed it to $54k in front of my eyes. Another sales person's excuse was, we forgot to change the value of the truck. My concern is why the online is still showing that price then. when a salesperson called me he get the info from their online website. I believe is they are lying about their prices since nowadays people are hardly buying cars from any deals they are just trying to trick all the customers. I have wasted 4 hours today which was not even my fault. Guyz please watch out for these scams. More
Just had a typical greedy American business experience with this dealership. They HAVE a 4Runner for sale close to exactly what I was looking for. I confirmed with 3 different people that the car was with this dealership. They HAVE a 4Runner for sale close to exactly what I was looking for. I confirmed with 3 different people that the car was there and available, and they sent me the sticker listing $52,439. and all details on the car. I unlocked my credit reports, gave them a cc for a hold deposit, filled out the credit report. Shortly after, I got a text (I’m in LA, they are in San Jose) saying the “final price = $69,213.” Now, I know there is a true supply chain challenge because of the pandemic and the delay there will be from the shut down. Because everyone is anticipating a lag in the most popular cars (ie there will be PLENTY of Highlanders and BMW X5’s) - there have been price increases and certainly less negotiating room. Do you realize they raised that car 32% above the sticker price? I sent a text saying “if you are telling me you raised that price $16,000 because of supply chain that is total %#^%}.” Within 10 minutes, got a text that they were sorry but the car was actually sold. 3 star rating on Yelp says it all. My 1 star review is down to the minute accurate. Some screen shots below of the beyond shady xx they operate by at Capitol. More
This review is specifically for the service department. In specifics the rude and insulting employee that such a great brand calls their Fixed Operations Manager. Bill Morrow, is the most inconsiderate and In specifics the rude and insulting employee that such a great brand calls their Fixed Operations Manager. Bill Morrow, is the most inconsiderate and disrespectful human being I have ever had the experience of talking to on the phone. We bought a $45k car less than a month ago, something on the door broke, we took it to Capitol Toyota and everything hit the fan from there. First they told me to go back to the dealership that we purchased it from even though they are ALSO TOYOTA!!! I left a message asking for a Service Manager or General Manager to return my call. Within 1/2 an hour I get a phone call from Bill who left me in tears!!! I tried to explain to him how I didn't understand how it wasn't a warranty issue when we pushed a button and the item broke. If the item was made the way it was supposed to, it would have never happened. Bill claimed it was "excessive force" when I asked him to clarify what that meant he said "well you pushed the button." I told him that was ridiculous how they take care of their customers. I told him I am pregnant and this was causing me stress to which he replied, " you are causing yourself the stress, I didn't do anything." I was appalled that he answered me this way. I tried to ask him something and he cuts me off saying, "NO! NO! NO!" I told him I would be contacting corporate to lodge a complaint and he said "If you want to call Toyota and lie that's on you" I confirmed with him that he was calling me a liar and he replied, "those are your words not mine." I am disgusted that a "manager" would talk to a customer in such a way. Capitol Toyota I am sure you can find someone way better to fill this role. The dealership I purchased the car from specifically told they don't want to help you because they don't want to take the fall for it. Bill refused to indicate the broken piece as a warranty issue because we pushed a button and it broke. If the bracket wasn't defective it wouldn't have broken in the first place. @toyota #toyota More
I know it's my fault I should've checked the paperwork immediately. We had agreed on 10,400 on a late model Toyota Corolla. Looking back at the paperwork Months later I noticed they charged 10,600. To ad immediately. We had agreed on 10,400 on a late model Toyota Corolla. Looking back at the paperwork Months later I noticed they charged 10,600. To add insult to injury The service manager lied And said he knocked off an extra hundred dollars that would've made the car purchase 10,300, in Lou of giving me a free oil change. I know it's not a lot of money, but I recommend you check your paperwork. Especially because they use touchscreens. And put everything on a flash drive, hoping you won't catch it later. The car itself is cool it's just The shady tactics I can do without. If they're doing this to me for A couple hundred they're doing this to you for 1000's. I can almost guarantee it. I escalated to Toyota care. If Toyota wants me to remove this review, I want two free oil changes now. One for the one that I was promised and one for my inconvenience. More
