Good afternoon Mr. Straube. I enjoyed speaking with you on the phone on August 18th. I hope that we have not lost your business for life. As we discussed on the phone, my technician followed the diagnostic path laid out by the manufacturer, and provided you with the results. I understand that you did not agree with our findings, or that we followed the manufacturer's diagnostic procedure, and would have preferred we use technician intuition and trial and error methods. All of which I acknowledged we use if we cannot find a solution via the documented diagnostic procedure. That is why I acknowledged in writing, "I think we stopped a little short of providing you with excellent customer service." We could have gone one step further, and we did not. As I said on the phone, I cannot guarantee that we will not still come to the conclusion that you need a bumper, but I am happy to try to attempt to provide a definitive answer even beyond Ford's documented diagnostic procedure. My offer to help you by getting personally involved in the diagnosis of your vehicle at no additional cost to you, still stands should you change your mind in the future. If we have lost your business, I truly hope you are able to find a service center that will provide you the level of service you deserve. Thank you for your business up to this point!
