We went to Baierl Toyota to look at a truck. The first salesman (Jay) seemed like he should’ve been on the jersey shore, as I left the first time I said “call me” and Jay responded “for what?”. Well it wasn’t the best first impression but I liked the truck. So I called Tim and asked for a new salesman and I bought the truck. If you get a salesman you don’t like, ask for a new one. Other than that no complaints here, they helped our business get it’s first vehicle financing. More
We bought a used vehicle from here in June 2018.. our experience was awful, to say the least. Thinking back, I was taken advantage of hard. I made an appointment, as you do, for 2 specific cars. Upon arrival, we were told (after a 30 minute wait) that the two cars I was looking at weren’t available anymore. Ok, understandable.. with our 1 year old, we were ready to go. Drove around the lot, and found not one, but both of the cars...just sitting in the lot. Ugh. Ok. Back in and talk to someone... wait another 20 minutes before they find the keys. All with our baby. Test drive great, I want it. Trade in value almost $3000 lower than other dealerships... but ok, let’s see what we can do. The paperwork BRENEN (looks like he doesn’t work here anymore) shows me has a price almost $1,500 higher than the vehicle was listed for.... then he states “I’m not sure what I’m doing, I’m new” after another hour or so of him talking to other people and finding “the best price” I’m told my interest rate.... almost 5% higher than my last vehicle, and I’m told “it’s the best we can do” I don’t know any better.. so ok. Let’s do this, we wanted out... after almost 5 hours of dealing with this. And the kid! Also was told by the finance guy “I think of you as my daughter, and I’d be happy with this” oh okay. Great... what a scam. During all of this, I’ve asked for the service records multiple times. Guess who didn’t ask until the service department was closed.. ok.. it’s fine.. I still want it. Solid car right. Drive off the lot.. next day, ticking sound. Ok, call the dealership. Am told I need to talk to the guy who sold it to me..? I don’t know. But They gave me the run around. Asked for my service records again. Asked for my keyless entry code.. again given a “sorry” and shoulder shrug, brushed off. Finally get the ticking fixed. Talked to the service manager who got me the records. And then had to tell him how to plug in the computer thing to get my keyless entry code. After a long and tiring process, all with my one year old in tow, I have a really nice car which, I’m now upside down on because of this awful interest rate and the lowest trade in value I’ve ever seen. Should’ve walked several times. More
