He got me into I car I could afford while making sure it was a car that would suit my needs. It also helps when the dealer owns the car you're going to buy. We both love the same things about BMW's. They are the ultimate driving machine. Go see him, he won't let you down. More
I have purchased many cars over the years and this was by far my best experience. It's a pleasure to have a car salesman who is "transparent". From the time we met where he allowed me to follow him in search of the car I was looking for on the back lot, to the test drive, and then finally the deal, the whole experience was impressive. Not only did my salesman have a sense of urgency but he was a hard worker. (It showed as I tried to keep up with him as we searched the lot). I was also impressed with his intimate knowledge of the vehicle. He was able to explain and demonstrate a system that had really intimidated me during a previous test drive at another BMW dealership. My salesman knew this vehicle inside and out. His confidence and passion sold me. I was able to negotiate a fair price for my trade in and negotiate a fair price for the BMW I purchased. I didn't spend all day waiting. It was fast. I was thoroughly impressed. I am also proud to say that I purchased my first BMW from a Vietnam Veteran. I would recommend Al Herbst at Center BMW to everyone. More
As a first time costumer to Center BMW, I was pleased with the overall quality of service I received. I bought my wife a 2013 528i for Mother's Day at this location and am so far satisfied. I would first with the overall quality of service I received. I bought my wife a 2013 528i for Mother's Day at this location and am so far satisfied. I would first and foremost like to thank the General Manager, Raul Hagen, for his knowledge, dedication, and passion for this company. My satisfaction with this dealership could not have been possible without the help of Raul. While my experience with Raul was above satisfactory, I can not say the same for some of the other employees, particularly Jimmy Workman. His inability to maintain a relationship with a costumer and show the respect to his costumers that is expected of him was disappointing. I personally felt that Jimmy would constantly lie to me and speak to me as if I was a 5 year old child. From the very first time I spoke to him on the phone I was unable to gain his trust. Even though Center BMW met all my expectations, I suggest the owner invest in more employees like Raul who care about the company, treat each costumer with the utmost respect, and care for each individual costumer. Thanks to Raul and his fantastic costumer service, I will surely be back soon to purchase my daughter a new car, and will definitely tell all my friends and family about the amazing service this dealership provides. On 4/25/2012 my car died. I had it towed to Center BMW Van Nuys and it was diagnosed as a bad fuel pump that needed to be repalced. $1,300.00 was the final service bill. Once it was fixed, as soon as I ar Van Nuys and it was diagnosed as a bad fuel pump that needed to be repalced. $1,300.00 was the final service bill. Once it was fixed, as soon as I arrived home, the car smoked and anti-freeze poured from the car. Towed it RIGHT back. I was then informed that this problem was a cracked/damaged radiator and it would need to be replaced along with all the other accompanying parts. Quote: $1,600.00. I didn't have 1600 laying around after the initial repair bills, so I had it taken to my father's company to be housed until I got the money and requested an estimate. While there, dad's resident mechanic ran diagnostics on the car, inspected it and found the problem was a cheap or faulty clamp on the radiator hose. Radiator was checked and there were no cracks or extreme radiator damage. It cost me $200 to fix INCLUDING an oil change. Needless to say, I am LIVID. I wanted to insure the repairs were done right and was fine taking it to the "dealer" for said repairs as I did for the original fuel pump repair. If it weren't for my having to wait until I had the cash (I don't like putting these on credit cards), I would've handed over to BMW, close to $3,000 in one month for questionable repairs. I will NOT be returning to Center. My trust and confidence both, POOF! I'm taking a long weekend trip with the rest of that money. I don't need empty apologies or promises. What I needed was honesty, integrity and good workmanship, the latter of which I was prepared to pay for. Not certain I got the former... I have never been one to cause trouble or stir things up uncessesarily, so for me to get to this point says it all. I just don't understand how people get away with this and feel they can treat customers like ATMs. This ATM is closed. More
I have been a long-time customer of Center BMW. So it is with a heavy heart that I make this review. On Saturday November 3rd, I was with my two (2) kids (who are 9 and 12) when, without any warning, my with a heavy heart that I make this review. On Saturday November 3rd, I was with my two (2) kids (who are 9 and 12) when, without any warning, my BMW X6M burst into flames, exploded and was completely totaled. My kids and I barely got out alive. Remarkably, I picked the car up from Center BMW in Sherman Oaks on Friday November 2nd - early evening - after the car was serviced from October 25th through November 2nd for an engine malfunction. Center BMW, after coordinating and gaining approval with BMW North America, replaced all eight (8) fuel injectors and spark plugs following my October 25th engine malfunction. The fire occurred the very next day upon receiving it. But even more amazing is the fact that, following an inspection of the car by 4 separate inspectors, BMWNA attributes the fire entirely to a repair error by Center BMW - and Center BMW has not accepted any sort of responsibility for this horrific repair error. Indeed, Thay have actively avoided the issue. This is how they treat a loyal long term customer. The event was detailed in an article on TMZ as well as the NY Post. I hope that all persons considering using the service department at Center BMW will consider other options. An active Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) investigation continues. More
These guys really take that Van Nuys/Sherman Oaks border seriously. Apparently, they are in Sherman Oaks, not van Nuys, and possess the arrogance unbecoming of people who want you to spend money on a luxur seriously. Apparently, they are in Sherman Oaks, not van Nuys, and possess the arrogance unbecoming of people who want you to spend money on a luxury car. I came here a few times, and once actually found a useful salesman to show us around. He was pretty frank in his lack of enthusiasm when i told him the three cars I was considering and acted as if teh BMW 3 series was something he didn't want to deal with. The other two times I was here, I couldn't care to deal with the egos of the sales staff and just left. Mercedes Benz it would be for me...again! More
After a terrible experience at Beverly Hills BMW I drove out to Van Nuys to drive an M3 sedan. I had no trouble test driving the car (some dealers won't let you drive it and expect you to spend $70,000 base out to Van Nuys to drive an M3 sedan. I had no trouble test driving the car (some dealers won't let you drive it and expect you to spend $70,000 based on the glossy brochure). I liked the car, ordered one from Germany, got a great price, and picked it up 10 weeks later. The experience was easy and low pressure. Picking up the car took a while while they ran my credit (which is over 800 so I don't know what they were doing) but the overall time wasn't egregious. Since then I've serviced my car there and had them look at several issues under warranty and have not paid a penny for their labor or parts. Nice! More
