My son and I experienced car issues as we travel from Colorado to Pennsylvania... fortunately for us, it was near BMW of Kansas City South. We worked with Norm In Service and he took incredible care of us. From diagnosis of the problem to resolution, he was caring, connected and personal. He had to overnight parts and when the parts did not arrive, he figured out another plan to get us back on the road again. All through the process, he took great care of us , he kept us informed and navigated the challenges so we could get home!! Thank you Norm and thank you BMW of KC south!! We made it home!! More
I purchase cars regularly. Generally at least two, and as many as six a year so I have some practice. Recently I was due to replace my main disposable car with a slightly newer disposable car, and had settle many as six a year so I have some practice. Recently I was due to replace my main disposable car with a slightly newer disposable car, and had settled on a Mazda3 hatchback as the intended buy. BMW of Kansas City South had the right car and at an acceptable price, so I contacted them and started the process of trying to work out a deal. After not too long I received a couple of cell phone videos detailing the condition of the car, features etc. Everything looked fine so I decided to proceed. This is where things got a bit strange. I got a call from the "finance office" to work out the details. This was on a Monday. I informed them that I would take the car, and that I would like to leave a credit card deposit. The dealership was 180 mies from my home, but I needed to be in that area the following Monday and that I would bring up an extra driver, knock out the paperwork, pay for the car and be done. The dealer rep indicated that they couldn't possibly pull the car off the market for a week regardless of the deposit status, but that they would be happy to deliver the car to my home during the week. While this seemed strange that they would want to send two employees on a 360 mile round trip when they could just wait until Monday, if that seems better to them who I am to question? We agree on the price. They are to get me a sales contact with a total, and I'll wire the funds. At this point it's late on Monday, so I figure that we'll get the paperwork done Tuesday and they can run the car down Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning. No problem. What actually happened was super frustrating. First, it took them until the end of the business day Tuesday to get me the sales order, and that was after bugging them for it during the day. At some point, I had to have a lengthy conversation with someone there to specifically decline each individual add on scam (extended warranty, paint protection, tire protection and so on), including me having to decline GAP protection on a cash sale. So now I have a sales order and have wired the money (so have paid in full for the car), and then they come up with this deal that we have to use third party notary to complete the paperwork, citing the business risk of having an untrained person collect a few signatures on an all cash car deal. This is where I came a bit uncorked and informed them that 1) if I had any inkling that they were this big if a pain to deal with I would have never contacted them in the first place; and 2) that this deal needed to be completed and the car delivered to my home by Friday afternoon or the deal will be unraveled and I would expect to pick up a check for the full amount the following Monday. This seemed to work. They paid the notary company an expedite fee and we met up / signed on Friday morning. BMW of Kansas City South pulled in the driveway with the Mazda in time for me to get it stuck in the warehouse and leave town for several days. One amusing follow up. On the following Tuesday I get an email with the completed paperwork for the car, followed by a request as to when I was going to pay for it! I sent the completed wire transfer confirmation from the previous week. They didn't know they had received the funds!! On a positive note, the car was 100% accurately represented and is working fine. I put about 3500 miles on it last week, and am confident that it's a good purchase. The sales person I interacted with was cheerful and helpful. To summarize, its clear to me that this dealership hates its customers, and I really don't see any circumstances under which I would ever do business with BMW of Kansas City South or any other Hendrick property in the future. At the very minimum, they certainly have some significant problems on the management and operations side of the house. More

I had a flat tire and Norm Michael was able to get me in to fix my tire. But it also needed to be replaced and Norm was able to get me back to work and have my car delivered back to me, so I wouldn’t miss a to fix my tire. I dropped my car at 9:20, was told it was ready at 3:09. I arrived around 3:40 to pick up my vehicle. I did not leave with my car until 4:17. All I had done was an oil change and tire rotation today.
