They did the check up withi About a month or so ago, I took my car for an annual service at the Palo Alto Audi dealer and I had a very odd experience. They did the check up within a day and called me saying I had an oil leak and asked if I’ve smelt oil in my car or have notice any oil stains on my drive way (I said no to both). They then told me it was a minor oil leak and I could take my time to fix it and my car can be picked up. I asked my mother to pick the car up, since she lives about one mile away from the dealer and I was at work, the person she was working with said it was a major leak that that it would need to fixed immediately. She told me this and thought it was odd, so I decided to take my car to my family mechanic, who we’ve worked with for nearly a decade. He checked the car and it was in perfect shape (no signs of oil leakage). This experience really made me think that this dealer is willing to escalate non issues as serious (potentially life threatening) issues. Telling me that I have a minor leakage then telling my mom (no more than 1 hour latter) that the oil leakage is major and must be fixed immediately. The whole experience seemed a bit to sketchy for me and I will not service my car here again. I wanted to let others know about my last experience here More

I was told it may take 3-4 days as they have backlog but it is still not done as of today Nov 13th. What is the point of taking appointment if you have to wait so long for such a minor thing. And if they knew they have backlog why did they took the car. They could simply call and tell that they have backlog and need to reschedule the appointment. Even the loaner car they gave was Chevrolet from enterprise. I requested them to call me if any audi loaner car is available but didn't get any call. So I went to center again on Nov 7th to check why service is not done. They haven't looked at the car by that time. I showed my concern and told I want car by today. Then they prioritize my car and started looking into it. I requested to change the loaner car, then they gave me audi. Later in the day they called me and said they need to order parts so it may take another 3 days and said it will be done by Monday Nov 13th. I didn't get any call today so I called them and checked but again they said its not ready. They have received the part but there are cars ahead of me, so it will take more time and not ready to commit when will it be done. I didn't expect such a poor service from Audi. More

Was told on the phone it would only take a hour and I could just wait there. On Friday, upon dropping my car off, I'm told it will have to be there the whole weekend as they are very busy. I could pick it up on Monday. On Monday, I leave a voice mail but no call back. I showed up at the dealership anyway late afternoon and am told it's not ready. It will probably take another few days. I asked the agent, what's the point of making an appointment if you can't fulfill it? His response was "we take over 30 appointments a day." How's that answering my question? Like many previous one-star reviews of Audi Palo Alto say, they don't value their customers. More

Service was gone downhill I used to have good experience until this visit. I made appointment and expecting the car is served 1.5 hr to 2 hrs. During the waiting, nobody came to update me the process like other customers has received about their cars. Most of the customers are gone but me still waiting. I checked back in with them for 3 times.The only reason at about 2hrs time I got is they got busier and what they can do is to finish it up and return to me without washing it(washing is included in 2hrs service). The last time I had to talk to the manager at 2hr 40ish manager who doesn't know what went wrong during the process. But he pushed it to finish in 20mins. The impression I got from them is "appointment doesn't mean you get served in time", "We can cut down your service if you can't wait..." Except the person who is your agent. Other people there are generally friendly. More
Scratched car and quoted $1,500 too much for work Issue 1: After taking my car in for some work, I noticed a thumb nail sized scratch on the front of my car. Immediately informed Audi Palo Alto who came out to look and said words to the effect that it wasn't them, they would take no responsibility, etc. This was despite the car being immaculate and their own check-in sheet showing no defects. Escalated to the CEO, asking for a new replacement part. They offered a touch up. I declined since the part they damaged is metal with a plastic coating. Also asked about the cost of the part. No reply. In my opinion you replace parts when the car is low mileage, immaculate, and worth $70K. Even more so when you irritate the customer. Issue 2: Audi Palo Alto originally quoted $3,000 for the repair. I researched the cost of the parts and Audi's recommended job time online and determined the quote should have been $1,500. Verified this with an independent garage and asked Audi Palo Alto to revise the quote, which they did. If you have any doubts, ask for parts numbers and do this type of research. More

PLUS, even though you give them a short list of concerns, they ignore the list and lie about things being fixed (i.e. no wiper fluid, warning lights still on, inaccurate assessment of tires and brakes. . .) Gave them 3 years to clean up their act but no luck. Liked my Audi but hated the service so traded it in on a BMW. If you live on the peninsula, take your Audi over the bridge for service or sell it. Their promise of a hand wash after service was not very well done...had to have the car detailed after I returned home . Only good news was they provided a loaner car. Compared to other Audi service departments...these guys have a long way to go. More
