This has been the worst experience of my life. I will NEVER come here again and I will spend the rest of my life telling people how horrible this place is. I drove four hours for a car here becaus I will NEVER come here again and I will spend the rest of my life telling people how horrible this place is. I drove four hours for a car here because they refused to do anything over the phone like most dealers will, which that’s fine whatever. I get there and it starts immediately, they had this car deeply marked down and immediately tried to tack on $20,000. $20,000!! So I spent hours arguing with them. Several thousand for a low jack I don’t want, $1,000 document fee, $1,099 listing fee, $1,000 door protection, didn’t apply the $7,000 rebate, on and on and on. And some stuff they just refused to remove because they said it was priced so low. Then don’t price it that low? But you did so to bait someone in and screw them. So we finally come to terms after hours of this back and forth. Then I get to finance. They try to hit me with an 11% rate. I said I have financing for 5.5% so then oh okay well do 5.5%. They say GAP is some percent of the purchase price and that’s state law and tell me it’s going to be $3000. I say absolutely not so then oh okay well we can give it to you for $800. So then how is that state law? After all this I finally get signed, which I should have just left as soon as they put down that first paper with all those mark ups. Now it’s been three months and after multiple calls and texts and voicemails I have yet to get my financial paperwork. So I still don’t have my paperwork and can’t cancel my old service contract to get my money back. Now I think- what if I was some little old lady? Or someone who doesn’t know that they can add on all these costs or give you a high interest rate and someone just believe they are acting in good faith? I get all dealerships pull some shenanigans but this was atrocious. I can’t imagine how many unsuspecting people they’ve been able to just screw. There are so many other places that will treat you better, please for your own sake go somewhere else. PS Denise was very nice and helpful, but that in itself doesn’t negate everything else that has happened. More

Some context: I wrote most of this review a couple weeks ago but was called by a Shottenkirk big wig and politely asked if I would take down the review because it wasn’t exactly a glowing one. He did try to make things write but it was too late. I already had resolved the issue. I did take down the review because I appreciated the attempt but since then I’ve had more issues with the dealership concerning my permanent plates, and so—back up goes the review and I WILL NOT be removing it this time. The review is below. —————————— If they tell you they'll send your docs electronically, DON'T trust them. Demand all your paperwork in hard copy before you leave. It's like pulling teeth getting anything from them once you leave. Then the finance manager sends the docs to me three days late in an unprofessional email that's blank with just the title "COPIES" and an attachment. No apology for being late and he didn't even include all the warranty paperwork and NONE of the GAP coverage paperwork. After asking and asking and getting ignored via email, I finally did the legwork myself and contacted EG Assurance to get both contracts in full. Didn't take much for me to do this, but it's the principle of the matter. When I sign a contract at the dealership I expect copies of everything I sign, like, yesterday, not three days later and only after begging for them. So much for customer service/follow-up once the purchase is done. And dealerships wonder why they are reviled right up there with lawyers and politicians. UPDATE: Oh and given the issues I’ve had with this dealership, it’s no surprise that my permanent license plates mysteriously haven’t showed up. I called the county tax office and they said the tags were mailed out to the dealership in mid-May. My temp plate expire tomorrow on June 19, 2024. I had to call Shottenkirk last week to learn they haven’t come in. To date, no one from the dealership has reached out to me about the missing plates. I ended up going down to the tax office and getting issued new plates. A minor inconvenience that costed me time and an additional $6 but just one more reason it will be a cold day in xxxx before I ever buy from xxxxtenkirk Ford again. More
