I’d recommend not buying a used car. Buying a used car is easy, it’s the 5 month down the road maintenance you should worry about. I’ve owned this vehicle for less than 6 months come the oil change, apparently I’m due for a 100,000 mile maintenance package. This total is $1,100. Remind you, I barely did close to 500 miles with this car after purchasing it late spring. The Honda rep will give you the run around saying it’s not their fault. I suggest you go somewhere else. They don’t care about you or the used car, long as they make money! More

I have bought 19 new cars in my life, including once before at Ed Napleton Honda in 2014. Never before have I been treated in such a demeaning and irrelevant manner. First, Napleton has hired a few before at Ed Napleton Honda in 2014. Never before have I been treated in such a demeaning and irrelevant manner. First, Napleton has hired a few ‘conceiere ’ or trainees sales reps who clearly just greet new customers and vet them for other sales reps to work on qualified and interested buyers. No problem with the idea, but they should at least be trained on sales and should know the features of the cars. I test drive a 2020 Passport and showed my rep all the technology which I knew from my 2018 Accord. I had a few basic questions in standard features and was told the ‘product specialist’ at the showroom would know. One such feature I questioned is whether Passport had the brake hold. The product specialist told my rep it did. While I waited 15 mins to get an answer, I was able to confirm in fact it did not apply to the passport via a simple web search. During the negotiation process, the sr sales rep was very unethical in presenting a discount and then cut it by such things as Honda Delivery charge and Napleton add-ones and rebates for college grad which clearly did not apply to me. When I challenged him on the delivery charge, he said it was not in the MSRP. I told him 3 times it was as the car was just 10 feet from me on the showroom! I finally just got up, took a picture of the sticker and showed it to him. I then just told him my bottom line number I would buy the vehicle. 3 times he repeated the wrong number by $1000 trying to slip me up - very insulting! He finally stopped when I told him my number once more and told him I will gladly try elsewhere if Napleton couldn’t meet it. I finally did get an acceptable offer but it was a ridiculous and demeaning process. I then asked the sr sales person whether Napleton could register my car in Florida as It is my primary residence. I know they have a presence there so when he said yes, I figured it was not an issue. Only after we went to finalize the contract did he start working a MO title and told me FL was not possible - as if he never heard my requirement! Only after speaking with the GM a few days later did Napleton agree to process the title in FL - much appreciated by me! Within a week of taking procession of the car, Napleton Service called me to inform me the Passport had a recall and that I needed to get it into the shop immediately. When I asked why this was not caught at time of delivery, she said Sales must have missed it. It was just a software update so I made arrangements the next day. When I kicked up the car that day, I noticed a sound coming from the steering wheel. I later discovered the steering column covering was not snapped in place, obviously missed by the technician. I took the car back the next day after being told they would have the technician who missed it would fix it immediately. 90 minutes later, the Sevice Rep told me the part was now broken and had to be replaced. My third appointment for the same issue Was scheduled after they call 5 days later that the part was in. I was at Service at 7am the next day and they asked if I just wanted to wait. Fortunately I had another ride as I came to find out at 1pm that the part had just arrived! I would have been waiting 6 hours for the repair had I not taken another ride! Thankfully, the 3rd time was a charm. I now have the car in FL where I never have to interface with Napleton Honda again! More

Worth the extra miles I have driven Hondas for fourteen years and never had one in for mechanical repair. I generally keep to the 3,000 mile oil change rule and always go I have driven Hondas for fourteen years and never had one in for mechanical repair. I generally keep to the 3,000 mile oil change rule and always go to Napleton for service because they know my car and remember my name. I bought a beautiful Civic (Urban Grey) in 2014, which I loved, but the interior kept staining for some unknown reason. I talked to Cole in service about it because after I tried to remove stains, and had it professionally detailed to no avail, I took it to Napleton last summer, and Cole worked on it for a week and a half and finally it looked pretty decent after $250.00. Honda Company would not take responsibility even though others had the same problem. True, I had spilled water on the passenger side, but I carry towels with me and wiped it up immediately. When I took my 2014 in for an oil change on June 12, Cole was surprised to see the seats were as bad if now worse, than last year. He talked to some managers and came up with solutions from new seat covers to dying the seats, none of which pleased me at $2,000.00. He was thinking ahead and was right with me -- a new car. Right behind him stood the epitome of salespersons, Claire Bollan. Some people might think this was a ploy to get me into a new car, but Cole and I have become friends over the years, and he knows how I weigh the costs. Claire is a go getter who works like a genie. We talked for a short time, she took us outside and showed me exactly what I didn't want and then walked me over to what I never dreamed of: an Obsidian Blue 2020 Civic with a rocket ship dash, ergonomic interior, hidden spaces for phone chargers, blue tooth , electric parking brake, voice command system, etc. Apparently a team of managers got together and gave me a very good trade in for the 2014 and various options for buying or leasing to make my new beauty affordable. Before my husband and I left, we met all the managers and were encouraged to call them at any time for any reason. Although I lived in South County, I started doing business with Napleton because I taught at Lindenwood University in St. Charles. I am now retired and live in Kirkwood, but I feel like the Napleton team is family, and their newly remodeled showroom is home. They are worth traveling the extra miles. More
