Buying a Kia was my all time biggest Mistake. They're supposed to be known for their great warranty but you couldn't pay me enough to deal with this horrible experience. The customer service is t They're supposed to be known for their great warranty but you couldn't pay me enough to deal with this horrible experience. The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced in my life. The service department incompetence is outstanding. I am the original owner of a 2016 Kia Sorento with 40k miles, was driving to work & my car mysteriously broke down. I had it towed in to Destination Kia, they kept my car for 2 days & when they called me back to pick it up they claimed that it had died because it needed to have the fuel lines flushed as a regular maintenance for $175, I agreed but the minute I hit the highway I could hear my engine knocking. I called the service manager Tom immediately to express my concern & even though I told him I was scared to drive it, he insisted that is was safe to drive to & from my home. Thankfully it didnt break down again or catch on fire like they're known for. I got there & he simply stepped on the gas he could easily tell that a rod was blown in my engine, he didn't show any remorse for this serious mistake made by the service department. They had it for 2 days & no one figured that out before sending me driving in a dangerous vehicle, shameful. It took 7 months to get the engine replaced. What was worse was that Marshall forced me to drive a HUGE dodge ram pickup truck while my car was supposed to be fixed, I am 5'2 & am on the road a lot for work, I begged him for a different rental every week for 5 out of the 7 months. Marshall kept telling me that there isnt anything available, when I called enterprise they insisted they have other rentals but Marshall specifically has to place the order because it is in Kia's name. Kia couldn't even tell me when my car would possibly be fixed. I got fed up & finally go into the dealership 5 months later & tell them that I cant drive this truck another day & was ready to cause a scene, suddenly without any issues they gave me a Rouge but of course not a reliable one. I had to come back to trade that rental in 3 times in 2 months because they were due for oil changes, why would they give me a car that is due for an oil change 3 times & make me travel to the dealership each time...to be incredible inconvenient? Then 7 months later they tell me they are finally getting my new engine but they wouldn't fix it without charging me $250 because my battery was dead due to sitting in their parking lot for 7 months! Now that i have my car back, I have had a number of problems..first the skid plate half way falls off while I am driving because they did not put it back on it correctly but not all the way so I couldn't keep driving. Once again I was stuck on the side of the road & had to have a friend help me because Kia said I am on my own. Had to spend another already super busy day to bring it back to fix it & it took them all day to fix it even with an appointment. I was already planning on selling it asap but yesterday I turned on my air conditioner & it doesn't work. Destination Kia is taking 0 responsibility for it, they would not even look at it to make sure it was reinstalled correctly when they put my engine & a/c back together. It is very obvious to me that they did not reinstall it because the compressor isn't turning on at all. So I have to pay for a legitimate mechanic in a legitimate garage to service my air conditioner out of pocket. Service dept.is incredibly incompetent, I am scared to drive it after they worked on it. Awful customer service in all fronts, including management & service department & from Kia America corporate offices. I will make sure anyone I know is aware of my extremely poor experience & I will insist no one in my family buys another Kia ever again! More
