What you can expect: 1) Being lied to: Told me my bank's rate would be 11%. Bank actually offered my 6.5% 2) Being offered a much higher interest rate than you could get otherwise. 3) Not sharing bank's rate would be 11%. Bank actually offered my 6.5% 2) Being offered a much higher interest rate than you could get otherwise. 3) Not sharing your credit score with you even after you ask. 4) Being lied to that you being given a “free” warranty when in fact they lower your interest rate to keep the payment the same. (This doesn't help you if you already planned to refinance) 5) Being charged to have the car inspected/detailed, which is just hiding costs that other dealerships include in the sticker price. 6) Putting a car on the lot that was not yet inspected and ready to drive. 7) Playing games with the length of financing to make it appear that they lowered the price of the vehicle. 8) Playing ridiculous games where other sales people pretend they have other customers who want to buy the vehicle you are looking at. 9) Being told that financing should take 30 minutes when it took 2 hours. 10) Trying to keep you there as long as possible and purposely stretching out the experience to get you invested. 11) Trying to quickly skip over anything in the carfax that is negative 12) A salesperson who claims they can't do anything without talking to their manager. Maybe the manager should be the one selling the car? More
