Beware of Fraudulent Practices at Grand Prairie Ford in Texas! I recently went to this dealership to purchase a vehicle but walked out as soon as I realized the scam they were trying to run on me. Despi Texas! I recently went to this dealership to purchase a vehicle but walked out as soon as I realized the scam they were trying to run on me. Despite the fact that I was ready to pay in full and already had approval through my bank, the salesman insisted on running my credit and demanded my personal information, including my Social Security number. I explained that this was not necessary, as I’ve purchased vehicles before without ever needing a credit check when paying in full. Even after providing my driver’s license for identification, the manager created a profile without my permission. When I called them out, they changed their story, claiming they needed my Social Security number to "choose which credit to run." This made no sense since I was paying in full! It seems like this dealership is trying to collect personal information for their own gain, likely to rack up bonuses or ruin customers' credit. If you're already approved through your bank and planning to pay in full, there is absolutely no reason for them to request all your personal information. I left the dealership immediately and am deeply concerned about my identity and the use of my personal information. I’ve reported this incident to federal authorities for investigation. Stay far away from Grand Prairie Ford! They are running a shady operation, and you could be the next victim of their fraudulent tactics. Manager contacted me none stop.
