I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned truck from Key Ford on 2/20/26 expecting that the vehicle had gone through the detailed inspection that comes with a CPO certification. Unfortunately, that clearly was not 2/20/26 expecting that the vehicle had gone through the detailed inspection that comes with a CPO certification. Unfortunately, that clearly was not the case. Just two days after purchasing the truck, I discovered it had a heater core leak called service on 02/23/26 and had to schedule to bring it back to the service department on 2/26/26, for A major issue like that should have absolutely been caught during any legitimate CPO inspection. Received call from service on 02/26/26 that they believe the smell was from "cleaner" that was used to detail the truck I then informed them I had my mechanic look at it on 02/24/26 before it was brought to them and he found a leak at the heater core then they questioned me "how'd he do that?" I replied with a pressure test, then they told me they would like to keep my truck overnight again to do a pressure test, next day I received a call confirming it was the heater core. While the dealership is repairing the heater core under warranty, that doesn’t change the fact that the vehicle was sold as “Certified” with a problem that appeared almost immediately after I drove it off the lot. My truck has already been sitting in their service shop days after buying it, which is extremely frustrating after making such a large purchase. More
