Avoid this place at all costs. I had the misfortune of visiting Mid-Hudson Subaru, and it has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish. I’m no stranger to dealerships, bu I had the misfortune of visiting Mid-Hudson Subaru, and it has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish. I’m no stranger to dealerships, but this place takes the cake for the most unprofessional, deceitful, and frustrating experience I’ve ever had. First off, the service manager, Clay, is beyond rude and completely unhelpful. From the moment I stepped into the service department, he gave off an air of superiority and acted like I was an inconvenience. I tried to explain my concerns about my vehicle, and instead of listening, he interrupted me and barely acknowledged what I was saying. His condescending attitude was not only disrespectful but downright obnoxious. He clearly has no understanding of customer service and makes you feel like you're bothering him just by being there. To top it all off, I paid nearly $4,000 for repairs that, in hindsight, didn’t even address the issues I brought my car in for. Fast forward to a few months later when I took my car to another Subaru dealership for a routine state inspection. Surprise, surprise—my car failed due to a severely rusted-out subframe with visible holes, which Clay and his team never disclosed. This was an issue that was right in front of their faces during my initial evaluation, and they either missed it or chose to ignore it. Even worse, the repairs they did perform started failing almost immediately. When I contacted Clay and the dealership about this, I was met with zero accountability. I requested a refund for the shoddy work done, but they flat out refused to help, leaving me stranded with a car that’s still unsafe and thousands of dollars lighter. To make matters worse, Subaru corporate hasn’t stepped in to resolve this either, and after months of trying to get some sort of resolution, I’ve been completely ignored. This place is a scam, and their customer service is a joke. Clay should not be in any position of authority, and the dealership should be ashamed of their actions. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from Mid-Hudson Subaru. I wouldn’t trust them to fix a flat tire, let alone anything important on my vehicle. More

Macky immediately made us feel comfortable, like meeting an old school chum after so many years. His sale skills are very natural and honest and he knows how to "read the room." He listened to our needs, our financial capabilities, our personal goals and was able to give us options accordingly. He walked and talked us through the process in a language we could understand and easily answered our questions (even though there were sooo many) as if he had all day to spend with us, without the slightest bit of frustration or anxiety; I felt like he enjoyed our company and that made us enjoy his. He didn't come across as a typical sales-person who was just interested in making the sale so he could get his commission. Monday, we went in to buy a car and by Tuesday we were able to drive it home! Macky makes Mid-Hudson Subaru AWESOME!! More
They not only wasted four hours of my life, they also greatly disappointed us. They really tried to high pressured me and my wife, sales department, especially their very pushy sales manager. He demanded his "deal sheet back" if we went outside the dealership for air, after hours of their back and forth. Getting them to at least honor the trade-in guarantee on the Subaru app they provided us when we bought our 2020 Crosstrek was insane. Then finally they old us if we leave the dealership, for air or to get coffee, because dealership coffee machine was broken, again, we will have no deal and we will have wasted our afternoon there. We needed some air and a little caffeine but we felt sorry for our sales lady because we were only $200 away from a deal. We would have bought the Forester but pushy, high pressure and arrogant attitudes were not our idea of a good experience buying a car. We think it's much better to drive 30 minutes than 5 to be treated with the normal curiosity expected when making a large purchase such as this. Shame on Mid Hudson Subaru. More
