Not impressed with lack of knowledge and experience with service departments ability to diagnose issue. First time we brought the Buick in for the oil leak, was told it was from the oil pan drain plug, whic service departments ability to diagnose issue. First time we brought the Buick in for the oil leak, was told it was from the oil pan drain plug, which I know for a fact that it was on there tight as I did the oil change myself. After still having oil spots on the garage floor, took it back and they were unable to find anywhere it was leaking and stated "it's probably just oil still on the frame, just wash it a few times and it should clear up. I washed it 2 separate times and was still seeing oil spots on the ground/floor. Third time we brought it in, they finally said that there were able to find the leak and that it was the timing chain cover. Estimated repair cost at $3000. I did not have that kind of extra money sitting around so I did not get the quoted repair done. I later took it to a local repair shop that I have done a lot of business in the past and trust. They used a camera snake and were able to see an active drip coming from the oil pressure sensor about every 10 seconds. They did not see anything coming from the timing chain cover. Repair cost for the active leak was $516.26 and was completed on 4/14/26. Since then, we have not had any oil on the engine, frame or ground/floor. I do not like the fact that your service technicians, who are supposed to be highly trained did not use the proper equipment to properly diagnose the problem. What would you have done, if we did the repair of the timing chain cover that your staff stated was the problem only to find out they were wrong once they had it removed? Would you have owned up to your mistake or just stated that it was leaking from the pressure sensor as well and charged us more? I have lost confidence in your staff and do not plan on bringing any of my vehicles there in the future. More

I had problems the other day. I ran over a screw on the highway. I got it changed with a tow truck helper and drove it straight to Ed Morris after I called them and explained what I ran over a screw on the highway. I got it changed with a tow truck helper and drove it straight to Ed Morris after I called them and explained what was going on. They said if they were closed because this happened of course at 5:20 PM and by time I got my tire changed and drove there, they would wait for me and they would give me a loaner vehicle because they didn’t want me to be without a vehicle because they would have to keep my car to see what was wrong with my tire whether they could fix it or I needed a new one. They were a blessing for sure I was able to take my daughter to our Iowa City appointment the next morning and didn’t have to cancel. Thank you so much Ed Morris for being so kind and thoughtful and loaning me a vehicle so I did not have to miss my daughter‘s appointment and being so prompt on getting everything handled. More
