If I could leave zero stars I would. I bought a used 2022 Hyundai Kona from them on October 14th and was NEVER told there was only one key for the car during the purchasing process. I was only given this information when Alejandra (sales associate) dropped it off at my house, I asked her if there was a second key for it since its important to me that I have two keys for the car and she said she would look into it. All of that week she never followed up and I called Hyundai several times and they kept telling me someone WOULD call me back but no one ever did. I had no choice but to go in person October 19th so that they could not ignore me or keep my call on hold for 20+ minutes. When I walked in Rafael Mejia (sales associate) who was the person I also dealt with on October 14th promised me that he would personally look into finding the second key for the car or finding a solution (ordering a second key) that would make me happy he shook my hand and gave me his business card and told me to text him and that he would follow up on Monday October 21st. Monday came and NO text. I felt deceived! The lack of transparency, and good ethical customer service was clearly something Rafael Mejia does not care about. I texted him Wednesday asking him to please update me like he promised and nothing AGAIN. I texted him once again Saturday 10/26/24 and NOTHING and was left on read!!! This will be the only time I will be doing business with Downey Hyundai. I called them today 10/28/24 to let them know that I was knowingly being ignored by Rafael Mejia despite his empty promises that he verbally said to me and I asked if I could speak to a manager. Of course not to my surprise I was placed on hold for 14 minutes and then the receptionist said a manager would call me later today or tomorrow I am not sure why they could not answer my call seeing as how I am an upset/frustrated customer who was lied to and given false promises by one of the employees they manage. I urge anyone who is thinking about giving their hard earned money to this Hyundai dealership to NOT do it. Please take your money to any other Hyundai dealership who actually has sales associates that care about their clients AND managers who actually do their job. This will be the first and last time I buy a car from them. The lack of transparency, customer service skills, ethical business principles is not something that the Downey Hyundai dealership stands for. I can not stress enough how poorly they handle customer service. Avoid Rafael Mejia and this dealership at all costs. Beware of this dealership's approach to customer service. They appear focused only on making a sale, with no regard for supporting you afterward. Find a dealership that values transparency and customer satisfaction beyond the sale-- you'll thank yourself later. More

My daughter and I went to Downey Hyundai to lease a car. We were greeted by David, Lala and Rafael who made great efforts to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They all were kind enough to show us around the showroom. They made all attempts to guide us through the available cars they had. I have to say that this was by far is our best car shopping experience. The salesmen were adept and also very informative. They made sure to answer each and every question we had patiently! They were literally the best! We really appreciate the time, the effort and the great energy you guys invested. It sure won’t be our last time coming here! Thank you so much for your help with the purchase of our new car! More
