My experience at Lithia Subaru was one of the best car buying processes I have ever been through. After a slight "bump in the road", all of the employess from General Manager Randy Goldman to sales guy P buying processes I have ever been through. After a slight "bump in the road", all of the employess from General Manager Randy Goldman to sales guy Paul Bushnell all showed why Lithia is one of the best dealerships in the Reno area. The experience was pleasant, professional and fast. All communication was straight forward and upfront. Nothing was hidden. If you are in the market for a Subaru, give these guys a try! You wont be disappointed. More

I made an appt. with Paul Bushnell the Internet Sales Manager to bring my mid 80s parents up to look at a specific certified Subaru Outback. He said that he would b with Paul Bushnell the Internet Sales Manager to bring my mid 80s parents up to look at a specific certified Subaru Outback. He said that he would be off the day we scheduled and sent me Devon Thomas from sales info. He told me that Devon would be helping us for the appt. We arrived on time and found Devon who said "oh yeah John said you were coming." He then sat us down and told us that "they sold the Outback yesterday. Sorry." He didn't care enough to call us and let us know before we had to spend 2 hrs drive time each way to show up at our pre scheduled appointment. We drove to Auto Nation Subaru in Roseville and bought the same Vehicle and had a great experience! More

Not posiitive 1, Call from Lithia saying I owe $500 deductible from a previous repair. Told him I was not about to pay that. That it was their responsibility to collect from the insurance, Farm Mutual. Went back and forth; left it as I was not going to pay as t was not my responsibility. My insurance is State Farm. I was upset and angry. 2. When the repair was done (above) there was another problem under the car that wasn't checked. Had to take it back in to be fixed. 3. Passenger mirror broken. Lithia replaced with wrong mirror, and I need to eventually take it back in for replacement., Replaced with a lower grade mirror that did not match the driver side mirror. 4. My sunroof shattered because of a chip made from a gravel truck. The car then exposed to -3 degrees and up to 37 degrees on top of Pine Creek Pass, Idaho. Called Lithia at least six times and left message for person: 3 times one day, 2 times the next, 1 time next. Never returned my call. Gave up, and used Sunroof Express. 5. I've bought 2 cars from Lithia: a 2013 subaru legacy that was supposed to have all the safety features--and did not. Salesman error. Tried to make up for it with other offers, but would not replace as I had driven it brand new to Idaho (that was when I discovered we did not have safety featueres--blind spot and ability to slow down on its own when approaching other cars. 6. Bought a second 2017 subaru legacy, with safety features. Given Lithia a lot of business over the years Then bought a 2017 subaru. I have 3. More

Interesting after-the-sale experiences.. Our second purchase went far better than our first with Lithia, until a couple details arose. First, I was told by our sales rep that I would be able to include my wife on the registration with DMV, even though she was not there at the time of sale. When we arrived at the DMV, and had our DRS faxed to them (hadn't been mailed yet), when I asked the rep to add my wife, I was told that could not be done, as she can not change the DRS received by Lithia. When I texted both our rep and the internet sales manager, I thought I'd hear back. As of this typing, I have not. Second, about a week after our purchase, I received a check for $150 from Lithia, apparently for "over-payment"? I was happy, went and cashed it, and then, was contacted by my bank that it was returned, as it needed two signatures. Though it's not in front of me right now, I seem to recall it being made out to me only, and had one Lithia signature, as it was for below the amount that would require two. This one will be interested to research later on today. Sometimes, a business relationship is all in the details..... Now, after speaking with Randy/GM, I am told the check was sent in error, that the money was not mine, though they will reimburse me the NSF fee. Lithia, you had three WEEKS from the time of issue to the time of my cashing the check to contact me and say it was no good/return it/destroy it, and you did not. And to not even offer a comp oil change for my frustration is, in my opinion, an uncaring move. More

I started by requesting a quote online. I received a response from Paul Bushnell, who offered a fair price on the Outback I was interested in, and was prompt but not overbearing in his follow up. He wasn’t going to be in the day I wanted to stop by, but arranged for meet with Shelley Thomas. When I came in, I asked for Shelley. Someone called for her and she arrived moments after. Shelley was fantastic!! I did a ton of research ahead of time, and was prepared to deal with a stereotypical car sales experience but it was pleasantly quite the opposite! Shelley responded well to the fact that I had already researched what I wanted and didn’t try to push me into something other than that. When I asked about 0.9% financing, she checked with one of your finance people for me and arranged that. Working with your finance guy was kind of the typical experience of negotiating around extended warranties and such. I had to run home for my checkbook. When I returned, Shelly spotted me and checked in. I let her know I just needed to give my check for the down payment. Your finance guy was now with another family, but rather than make me wait, she took my check back for me! Not only did I not have to wait, but I didn’t have to deal with any additional sales pitches for the extended warranty, after I already said I didn’t want it. This experience was so much better than I expected and it was all thanks to Shelley’s incredible service!!! More
