A very bad experience at the Terry Reid Hyundai dealership in Cartersville. I had had an unfortunate situation where I had purchased a car from a private owner. I have a major back issue and am tall and unfortunately the car was just too small for me with my issues but in excellent condition. I went to trade it in and warned the dealership I had spent my budget on the car and needed to trade down. I had told them I had been lowballed at dealerships before and had to leave, and I was re-assured they were very aggressive on their pricing. It is a 2018 fully loaded Subaru. They lowballed me and offered $13,000 for my car (what in the world) and I was shown a car fax that it is worth $11K but had it marked in fair condition (the car is in excellent condition). They came up to $17,000 and I still said no as they wanted me to pay an additional $20,000 on top of that I had already spent on the trade in car. I can't afford that. Then, I was offered $22,000 trade in with a $5,000 out of pocket amount if I purchased today and signed. I could of course do that. I asked for a moment for my mom and I to discuss, and the manager came over and I thanked him as we thought he was the one that made this offer happen. He said wait, wait - that is not correct, and the over was revoked. They tried to say it was only something to get approved. If that were the case, then why did I not have to sign any other offers they presented me. This is deceptive and a flat out lying. Please be careful going to this dealership - especially if you are in a bad situation, financially conservative and need honestly and fairness. See revoked offer and text stating that they aggressively price. Very bad experience. That is not the way you build trust or do business. More
We had to take our 2020 Hyundai Palisade back aging fo the oil consumption and knocking issue again on December 6, 2024. We spoke with Raphel in the service department. We ended up having to leave the vehicle, and they don't have loaners so we had to rent a vehicle at the Enterprise-rent-a-car next door $300.27. We advised them that we had an extended warranty with Triton, but when we called back the said they called but the warranty wasn't covered and it would cos about $350 to $400 to replae the oil gasket housing. I came in and paid the $415.34 on 12/10/2024. We ended up taking the car back to the Hyundai in Kennesaw on 12/23/2024 where we purchased it last October because it was starting the same issues from the previous vist to Terry Reid Hyundai in Cartersville, and they did an inspection and changed the oil free of charge, and the service advisor asked to see our paperwork on where we paid to have this issue repaired, but it was still leaning from the oil gasket housing. They advised us to contact Raphel at Terry Reid, so we called him and put the service advisor on he phone and then he asked to bring the vehicle back in to be inspected. We took the vehicle back on 12/23/24 after the telephone call and then he became ver defensive and said they sealed the gasket, but if you look on the receipt they charged for the part, labor, tax, transaction fee totaling $415.34. Raphel then stated that it would cost an additional $600 to do the repair that we just paid for. We called the extended warranty company and they stated that that part and service is covered under our extended warranty and that they didn't receive a call from Raphel at Tery Reid Hyundai about coverage because they keep a call log for warranty requests and authorization. We called the Terry REid Dealership this morning to speak to the general manager and were told nobody was available and we would have to speak with Raphel. I can honestly say that I have never in my 59 years have ever seen such a clear disregard to other human beings with price gouging in this economy. This dishonesty and disrespet is just wild. More
I will not buy another car from Terry Reid for as long as Austin Nichols, the Finance Manager, works there. I have bought two cars previously but having to deal with the dealership to get my paperwork to fil Austin Nichols, the Finance Manager, works there. I have bought two cars previously but having to deal with the dealership to get my paperwork to file a gap insurance claim has been unbearable. I needed to file a gap insurance claim and I reached out to him and the Office Manager, Andrea Adcock for a copy of my sales contract. I have sent close to 20 emails with maybe 2 unhelpful responses. I had to go down to the dealership after a month of no response only to be given the wrong paperwork. When I reached out for the correct paperwork, I was again ignored for a month. Once again, I received the wrong paperwork when Andrea sent me the incorrect paperwork for a previous car. It has been two months of this complete lack of communication with no resolution in sight. I went down to the dealership again to get the correct paperwork only to be turned away and told it will be emailed to me on Monday. I have no faith that they will get me the paperwork when they say they will. Austin and Andrea have completely dropped the ball when it comes to handling this situation. More
