I've been a Lake Ford Customer since 1979 when it was Southgate Ford. Have never had an issue they didn't go out of their way to correct. I've purchased or leased 20 vehicles from then, 2 were from Lake Southgate Ford. Have never had an issue they didn't go out of their way to correct. It was fine/just ok- little to no communication on what was going on, the process in general, the progress of the warranty claim or an approximate timeline to have an answer. I would assume most customers using a dealership for service are inept in car issues/lingo. Never having to deal with a warranty claim for a transmission the question of if we know the process and procedure the dealership is required to follow should have been asked. Then a clear and concise explanation could have been provided. At the end of the day I wasn’t sure if we were going to ow $100 or $10,000 which is unsettling. We had to reach out multiple times for an update. Then when we asked for an update was told that one was already provided which was untrue. We are fairly easy going people. If it was possible the work would take 3-4 weeks or longer that’s fine we were provided a loaner vehicle, we have no issue with it taking as long as it did. But we had no idea if/when we were going to get our vehicle back. Then when the truck was finished Thursday early afernoon, during a work day. 17 phone calls were made, and texts sent out saying it was done. No voicemails left. Just repeated calls that went unanswered because it is a workday. Calls including to my employers number in which you guys don’t have down as a contact number were made in less than 3.5 hours after being notified the truck was complete after being told 2 days earlier it would be another 1-2 weeks. Then was told we needed to return the loaner car that night after no insight or inclination that it could be done much earlier was provided, where a plan could have been arranged. Looking at our home address you can see we are 30-40 minutes away without traffic from the dealership. Being pressured to return the loaner car that night with no prior notice is a fair question to ask but when the answer is no because of work schedules and after work schedules, that should have been the end of it and told that the next day will be fine. Instead it was reiterated that the dealership needed the loaner back that night for someone else to use. Not exactly my problem to jump through hoops to figure it out. At the end of the day it is what it is, it worked out and the warranty claim work is done. I think communication can be improved on and much of the frustration on the customers side could have been avoided. More

I recently serviced my Car Mazda CX5 as your Lake Ford. Please see my feedback below. I wanted to share the reasons for my early service and the concerns I have following the recent visit: Reason Please see my feedback below. I wanted to share the reasons for my early service and the concerns I have following the recent visit: Reason for Early Service I scheduled the service earlier than usual because I will be out of the country for two months and wanted to ensure everything was checked beforehand. Brake Pads and Tires My vehicle advisor strongly recommended replacing brake pads and tires immediately, whereas my previous advisor in August indicated they could last another year—until August 2026. When I mentioned I needed a few more months, the advisor responded sarcastically, which was disappointing. Driving Experience After Service I do not notice any improvement in driving conditions after the service. Typically, the car feels smoother and less noisy, but this time it seems the maintenance was not properly done. Also my odometer still shows 800 miles to service. I assume this was not reset. Windshield Wipers When I signed the maintenance mileage contract, I was told windshield wipers would be replaced annually. However, when I asked during this visit, I was informed this is not covered. Costs and Promises I paid $838 for maintenance mileage, $2,638 for the vehicle service contract, and additional charges for the Prema Plate. During the sales process, I was promised quality service and annual wiper replacement. Currently, I am neither receiving the expected service nor the promised replacements. (I understand brake pads and tires are not covered.) Car Wash My car was not washed or cleaned, even though I was told this is complimentary. When I asked, the advisor said it was too cold to wash the car. I have never heard this reason from other dealers. Furthermore, why was the car wash included on the invoice if it was not completed? Isn't this cheating your customer who has trusted your team? Overall highly disappointed with your service this time.
