We visited this dealer and my wife settled on a used Integra that was so fresh it hadn't been listed on the dealer's website yet. It was the dealer's loaner vehicle and had some stickers claiming it was Integra that was so fresh it hadn't been listed on the dealer's website yet. It was the dealer's loaner vehicle and had some stickers claiming it was an Acura Certified Pre Owned vehicle. In hindsight, this vehicle was clearly not "certified" since it had some wheel damage and a dent in the trunk. That should be a big hint about what behavior goes on at this dealership. Friday October 25th we happened to have a friend visiting who also owns an Integra so we swung by to have him check out the car. This friend has worked in bodyshops for 11 years and recently as the manager of a BMW official bodyshop. He started checking out the car while my wife went to grab the keys from Mark and have her car inspected for trade in. Immediately, issues became apparent with the car beyond the dent in the trunk and the damaged wheels. The front bumper and driver's side fender had slightly different paint quality than the rest of the car. Additionally the driver's side fender to hood gap did not match the passenger's side, nor did it match any other body gap on the rest of the car, indicating that the fender had been poorly installed. While we were inspecting the car in the daylight for the first time, we noticed a weird interaction where someone came out from the dealership and gruffly yelled at the guy that was inspecting my wife's trade in. It was a pretty weird interaction between employees, especially in front of customers. Shortly after that odd experience we noticed that the fuel door on the Integra could not open properly. This was where we met the General Sales Manager, Moe Mednini, who immediately attempted to "fix" this himself by yanking the keys out of my wife's hands and shoving our friend and I put of the way so he could close the trunk to fix the gas door?!? Eventually he "fixed" the gas door by just yanking it open and calling it fixed. At this point it was evident it was missing some pieces. Now we went for a test drive which was uneventful and within 10 minutes we returned to the dealership. My wife went inside to talk to her sales guy while we hung out outside. Suddenly Moe barged his way through the doors and confronted us gruffly and rudely to ask what was wrong with the car. Apparently my wife had mentioned that we noticed the car had visited a bodyshop and the front fender was misaligned. Immediately Moe starts angrily raising his voice with our friend (the professional body shop worker) claiming he knows nothing and it had never been painted and the dealership records would show it and blah blah blah. He claimed that he could get out a paint thickness meter to show the car had never been repainted. Anyone in the body industry knows that the meter is not accurate enough to show that unless the body shop was wildly incompetent and painted over dirt or something, which our friend tried explaining to Moe. Moe just kept yelling over us and ignoring us and being rude and disrespectful. When my wife came outside to see what what going on, Moe starts yelling more, spewing all sorts of words claiming he has 22 years of experience and such, which he quickly proved were worthless when he claimed that the fender misalignment could be fixed by adjusting the rubber bumpers that hold the hood up. My wife asked him when the body misalignment could be fixed, she was still interested in the car. Moe told her that adjusting the body would just "go back" because the car would shift back to where it was, which is simply not true. Cars do not just "go back" to where they were when you adjust body panels. Then Moe disrespected my wife by acting as if she was much dumber and would fall for his lies and told her that our friend is not professional and she could take the car to "any" body shop to prove that it had not been painted. He kept insisting that our professional body shop friend was wrong and would not stop talking over my wife or our friend. More
