The work was completed the same day I dropped my truck off for diagnostics. They dealt with the warranty service and called for clarifications. I brought my car in for the following: 1. New tires 2. 80000 service 3. Issues with doors not locking Items 1 and 2 were handled fine and satisfied Item number 3 was not handled. Servic New tires 2. 80000 service 3. Issues with doors not locking Items 1 and 2 were handled fine and satisfied Item number 3 was not handled. Service advisor suggested that my battery might be the issue with the doors Not locking.. he indicated that my battery tested low. I would agree that it is a five year old battery and it was time to change. I changed and bought a new battery. Service advisor offered his cell phone number to give him a call if the battery replacement did not fix the issue with the door locks. Nothing changed. A simple Google search on the 2020 Ford escape and problems with the door locks Showed me that there is an issue with the welds for the doors, and that Ford was offering to fix the problem after a customer satisfaction survey. I feel like my service advisor really should have gone there first and really should have known this. He did not even mention it to me and simply thought the new battery would fix it.I left a message for him last Thursday, June 12, and have yet to get a callback from him. More
