The people are nice. Dom knew a lot of facts about the car and offered his help in navigating this new technology, which was great as the tech in these newer cars can be Dom knew a lot of facts about the car and offered his help in navigating this new technology, which was great as the tech in these newer cars can be extensive and difficult to absorb. However, I made a huge mistake in allowing his explanation of the VIP program to suffice in my decision to get it. I should have asked more questions, or gotten more details. The details of said program are not as good as I was assuming. (I live too far away to get free pick up and delivery, and the oil change feature is only applicable to non-synthetic oils. Kia uses synthetic oil in all of their cars, as most do. Imagine me having a power train warranty claim and Kia discovers that a non recommended oil was used in the car. Instant denial of claim) Also Lorraine was also nice to speak with and a pleasant person. But again, my mistake, of not reading the specifics of the extra warranties, and now I must go through the process to cancel them. We also had questions about the sale contract, specifically the extra 1K allowance for our trade doesn't appear in the document showing balance due. I have had difficulty making contact with her by phone. (She did reach out once, but I was in the car and didn't have the documents with me. She attempted to contact my wife, at home, and talk to her about it, but unfortunately she was unable to answer at that time, (you know phone tag) I know everyone's busy, despite being retired, I am too. I would be happy to discuss my issues with a member of upper management should they be inclined to get more details on my customer feedback. We love the car. The combination of my own neglect in studying the contracts, and relying on the short non-detailed explanation of the benefits from the parties involved in the sale, resulted in this review. I hope these issues can be resolved quickly and thoroughly. That would likely change my mind on the review and indicate that Oakes does have my complete satisfaction in mind. If we need to come in and completely redo the loan paperwork, we're okay with that. We have yet to even make our first payment, or get our title. (BTW, I know the windshield warranty can not be cancelled, I'm willing to accept that as my own price to pay for not being willing to take the extra time to ask more questions and read the details imbedded in the contracts, (and helping to create this debacle) More
