My salesman's name was Dylan. He was very nice but nice just doesn't cut it he didn't know very much about the vehicle I asked him what the extra key dangling off of the fob was a He was very nice but nice just doesn't cut it he didn't know very much about the vehicle I asked him what the extra key dangling off of the fob was and he said in case your father don't work you can use the key but he didn't show me how I had to Google it look in the book and figure out that it went inside the fob? I asked if it had Serious XM afraid two or three month trial and he said no so I said okay then a 6-month trial for free so when I want to try to figure out how to work it I found out that the car was not equipped with Sirius XM which I wasn't told. I would have never bought the vehicle without that because I love music and I don't have anything to listen to except the radio which sucks. Very disappointed no wonder they couldn't sell the vehicle I feel like I should have gotten a couple more thousand off of it since it was a 2024 and it didn't sell I bought it in 2025 March they just want their money and that's it very very disappointed and won't recommend anyone to go there because now when I go to sell the car they probably won't give me what the car is worth and who else is going to buy it it doesn't have Sirius XM! More

On 6 April my wife and I visited Rich Morton's Mazda with the intention of test driving a 2021 Passport. I believe it was priced on the website for $29k but had been listed on the lot for two years. We had found a similar vehicle in Frederick for $24k and we were hopeful that a motivated local seller and a similar price point would result in a sale of this Passport for $25k. We were upfront that we were looking for that price and had the cash to buy today. We test drove the vehicle with our salesman Joshua. With the sale price and our expected price differing so much, he had to confer with his manager. There were many back and forth conversations, but the outcome was an agreement of $25k, out the door, but we would need to finance it. The manager requested that we make payments for 3 months before paying off the vehicle in order for the dealership to get credit for financing. We were told that the vehicle needed to be reinspected after having sat so long, but we eventually were brought to the financing office to meet with Lenny. We were presented with a few pieces of paper, none of which were the loan agreement. We were told that the dealership would shop the loan and we would receive electronic agreements to sign. This was stated as a practice in place since COVID. We did sign a statement that Mazda had the right to negatively impact our credit in the event of loan non-payment, but we were never presented with a contract or a written price. We asked Lenny to check his system to be sure that the financing was still $25k and he did. He confirmed in the office that the price was $25k. We signed for the plates and were asked not to date the MVA paperwork, but nothing money related was given to us or signed. We left the office with nothing in writing with regard to the price or the loan, only assurances that electronic paperwork would be forthcoming. We were, of course, uneasy. We brought the Passport home that day and drove it until the 19th of April. We received a truth in lending notice from Mazda credit showing a total of $47,768 with interest of $13,267 which totaled a purchase price of $34,5001. After discussion between us, we drove to the dealership to deconflict the numbers, our expectation of financing $25k and Mazda's loan of $34,501. We spoke with the manager on duty and Lenny. Both initially thought that the difference could be explained by tax, title, and tags, but after discussion, we all concluded that the numbers were too far apart for that. My wife and I both agreed that even if we had misunderstood about taxes, title, and tags, we would have paid the difference, but the gap between the agreed upon price and financed price was too large to be explained. Tax, title and tag for $25k would have been, worst case, 25000 x 1.06 +100 title+ 225 tags + 500 dealer processing or $27,325. The manager on duty, and Lenny were unable to verify how much had been financed, explaining that they were unable to query the financing system without assistance of staff members that were not onsite. They recommended that we return on Monday to discuss with the appropriate staff members. This leaves us with a question. How was a loan taken out in our names for a dollar figure that was neither conveyed to us, agreed upon by us, or signed for by us? We are confident this is a mistake and look forward to clearing this up Monday, but the outcome remains; a loan was taken in our names that we did not agree to. Monday, we spook to the original manager that we had made the 25K agreement with, he simply stated they would be taking the car back and said nothing else. We returned the Car, signed a paper that stated it has been returned and nothing owed. My suspicion is that the only reason they took the car back is there was already a similar lawsuit being pursued another party. More

Tim also let me know how to take off and store the T-top. He also knew what the loose part was that I found in my new car, before I drove it off the lot. I would buy another car from Tim any day! TLDR: Be careful of the finance department of this dealership. Read everything you sign, triple check everything. While the salespeople are friendly and are reasonable, you can get royally screwed by dealership. Read everything you sign, triple check everything. Either avoid this dealership altogether or if you absolutely have to shop here, be extremely vigilant on what you are signing. They will sneak in all kinds of fees in there, not disclose them to you, they will try to fool you with the payment amount, they may match the payment amount to your liking, but will increase the number of payments, while hiding it from you. Here is what happened to me. As soon as we agreed on a price for a used Lexus LX570, $40,800, the credit was run, approved for 60 months, and I was asked to talk to the financing person in another room. Lenny was the name of the finance person if I am not mistaken. He acts like he is having a bad day everyday and you are at fault for asking any questions. At this point, all I know is the price of the vehicle and the the loan rate, and nothing else. The finance guy tells me to sign some 4-5 blank papers (One about the mileage, another is the bill of sale, selling as is, etc), the typical papers you sign, except blank! His explanation was that if I make any mistake on any of these papers, it may result in delays in issuing the permanent license plate, meanwhile my temporary license plate may expire sooner than they can issue the permanent one, while the potential errors are being fixed. For this reason he insisted that I leave everything blank, including the dates. Anything I ask (like what are the final numbers for interest, tax, dealer fee, etc) he acts super annoyed and tells me all of the papers will be available electronically for me to review later. He refuses to answer any question by passing me to the sales people, or telling me to call the bank and ask them, or just outright telling me I am asking too many questions that he has no answers. At the conclusion he hands me a USB drive which supposedly contains "everything" for me to review at home. After I kindly insisted on showing me what I signed, he prints out the bill of sale. Turns out the total price of the vehicle was some $13,000 more than the agreed 40,800 with no itemization the price. I am strictly talking about the price of the vehicle and not the interest, license plate fee, dealer's fee, which are listed separately. Some 13,000 extra fees! Some 2,000 was supposed to be the tax (I am estimating because there was no way to know) but the rest made absolutely no sense, other than more "dealer's fees" were added. Moreover, They put 84 payments instead of the 60 that we had initially agreed. They added Gap insurance, which I had clearly declined. When I asked why was this added, they tell tell me otherwise your interest rate would have been higher (nonsense). I literally begged everyone on that floor to explained me what these number are, their answer is that I should go check out their website for their dealer's fees. When I complained to the floor manager (Don Burke) about the attitude of the finance guy and that he had me sign blank papers only for me to discover all of these surprises later, the manager justified him saying that it is a normal practice to hand over blank papers to customers to sign and that the finance guy had no way of answering my questions. After spending 8 hours at the dealership, I had them cancel everything and walked out. Hopefully I don't get a call from a collection agency in the future about some loan that was assigned to me. To conclude there is some serious fraud going on in this dealership. It's probably occasional but consistent. They have systemic issues that need to be looked at. I highly doubt making people sign blank papers is legal. But good luck if you end up shopping here because you will need it. More

Went into the dealership to get another cx5 cause i totalled my other cx5 . My last one was great to me. From the first second I was there it was a waiting game. Once Bobby decided to give us attention I was there for over an hour. I have never had to wait that long I was almost ready to walk out. Once I was finally landed on a cx5 it was a total cluster mess. They weren't honest to me from the get go. After 2 hours of haggling on price and rate I was so worn out I put down a 500 deposit and asked if I could vome back to finish paperwork on Thursday I was told by the finance guy that 500 wouldn't be enough to hold the cx5 til then. Mind you it was only 3 days. Mind you I was putting 8k down I wanted to wait for the insurance check come in so I could give the whole 8k down. I have an 802 credit score was given a rate of 3.99 for 83 months and a payment of 284 when i left. After the salesman had to go to the sales manager tower 6 times to finally get me where I needed to be payment wise. Once I came back to do my paperwork on Thursday EVERYTHING HAD CHANGED. They gave me a 5.9 rate with a payment of 309. Not what we agreed on. A different finance person was in the box she gave me the new numbers I was very upset....she explained to me that the manager that was there Saturday wasn't there on my return visit and that all the final numbers we came up with had changed and no one could find the Saturday deal. I wanted my payments under 300 a month they went from 3.99 rate to 5.9 rate in a couple of days. Making my payment from 284 to 309 a month. Once everything was said and done my payment dropped to 303 cause they took 400 off. The finance lady said this was the best they could do take it or leave it cause she had other people to wait on. Then processed to tell me to refi the loan at my bank. With the credit score I have should had gotten me the best rate. Beware of this dealership they tried to keep my rebate money plys gave me an outrageous rate. I love my new cx5 but hated the deal More
