Do not buy a car here. Recently purchased a 2023 used XC 40. Here are all of the reasons why we would never buy here again and won't even back here to service our vehicle ( Recently purchased a 2023 used XC 40. Here are all of the reasons why we would never buy here again and won't even back here to service our vehicle (despite the fact that we live a couple blocks away). 1. The sales person we dealt with was incredibly slow. We saw the vehicle we wanted online prior to coming in. We came in and asked to see it. The sales rep sat at his desk for almost 2 hours toggling his computer and told us that he didn't know if the car was on site currently. After 2 hours, he figured out that it actually was on site so we were finally able to see it. We could have saved ourselves all of that time if he had just checked when we came in. 2. My license plates took almost 3 months to come in. I followed up with Smythe every few days after my first temporary plate expired but was left with a second temporary plate that was 20 days past expiration before they got my plates. When I called to check in, the receptionist assured me each time that someone would call me back. No one did, and each time I had to call back to follow up on the status of my plates. 3. At closing, I noticed a deep scratch on the front passenger bumper and a chip in the paint on the rear bumper. I was assured that these matters would be added to my "we owe" list of items to bring back for servicing. I was assured that the paint and a small ding in the door would be fixed at no cost to me. When I called to schedule my servicing, Smythe claimed to have no record of the noted defects and told me I could take it to a body shop down the road for repair. We escalated this issue to the manager, Larry, who called me and assured me that I could bring it in and repair it. I brought it in for repair and the service department informed me that they would fix the ding but not the paint because, again, the paint scratches were not noted on the "we owe" sheet. I pointed out that I have photos of the scratches from closing. Finally, after much haranguing, Smythe agreed to order to touch up paint and then asked if I wanted to apply it myself. That is where we are now. The scratches look pretty much the same and a little bit of touch up paint is not sufficient nor is it what I was promised when I closed on the car. We should have been a great, easy sale. We came in knowing exactly what we wanted and ready to walk out with a car. Instead we are still dealing with trying to remedy the insanely poor service provided by this dealership. We'll never back, and we'll tell anyone considering a purchase in the area to go anywhere else. The only compliment I can give is that Adam, who helped me get set up with the car on the first day, was very nice and competent. The competence apparently stops with him. More

I went to several car dealership in search of a 2025 vehicle. I had no intention of getting a Volvo.....boy, was I surprised! The car I looked at was beautiful, easy to handle, and most of all no game p vehicle. I had no intention of getting a Volvo.....boy, was I surprised! The car I looked at was beautiful, easy to handle, and most of all no game playing. I enjoyed working with my salesman, Gary Placona. And best of all, they gave me a fair price for my used vehicle. And Alex, the super tech guy, showed me how to navigate everything digital. So it's easy for me to give this dealership a five star rating....(not too mention they had Skinny pop popcorn as free snacks....cool. More

This is my second time leasing an xc90 from smythe Volvo. The reason we came back to smythe Volvo is because of the wonderful service and people who work there. They are beyond professional and really care about their customers. Bob Cerza was our salesman and he was fantastic. We would recommend him to anyone. Larry, the manager, was the most polite, respectful and caring manager. Don showed the whole car to me and was very knowledgeable and helpful. Even the finance manager, Santiago, was nice and knowledgeable. The whole process was smooth and I would recommend smythe dealership in Summit to everyone. Thank you for another fantastic car! More
