I was so grateful to find the perfect car for my needs but the process of purchasing was awful. It began friendly but quickly unraveled into the most unprofessional and frustrating car buying experience. but the process of purchasing was awful. It began friendly but quickly unraveled into the most unprofessional and frustrating car buying experience. Immediately after the buying process began I had to unsuccessfully chase down my sales person after I hadn’t heard from him for several days. I then began contacting other people at the dealership. I had to call multiple times to get someone on the phone. It was finally explained to me by the sales mgr that there had been a misunderstanding about which financial institution I’d wanted to use - even though I’d specified which one in my initial meeting. They said they had reached out to said bank and were pursuing others as well for better offers. (Which was strange because I knew the fantastic offer I was preapproved for from my selected bank) I then called my preferred bank to confirm and learned they had no record of a loan request. I was terribly confused and frustrated but the sales mgr assured me he would follow through. My boyfriend ended up going over to the dealership in person to make sure the ball was rolling. 7 days after my initial meeting I went to the dealership to make my down payment and sign the dotted line. Upon arrival, my boyfriend spoke briefly with the sales mgr. But, my salesperson ignored me. However, as I was leaving the restroom he leaned back in his chair to casually say, “oh hay. Oh wow, I hadn’t noticed how tatted up you are,” commenting on my tattoos. And that was all he said to me and I walked away without responding. At this point, I was furious. Several moments later, he called me (by the completely wrong name) to go sit down with the finance mgr. The sales mgr and business mgr were pleasant enough but it hardly made up for the miscommunication, unprofessionalism, disrespect, and lack of care and responsibility. I was nearly in tears during my signing and was frantically looking for a different car at a different dealer. I unfortunately did not have the luxury of time and decided it was in my own personal best interest to complete the sale. The finance mgr offered me two free oil changes to make up for my trouble which was hardly enough and I don’t ever want to set foot in this place ever again. The sales mgr said he would give the car a once-over and make sure it was clean and ready to go. The next day, I picked up my car. The sales mgr extended his apologies and walked me out to my car. I noticed it was not spotless and there were watermarks and bird poo on it but I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. And to top it off, I checked the air filters today and they’re filthy… More
