Lolita is a wonderful sales person - this is our third car purchased from her, and John Korallis in service is a Rock Star and friend. More

Chris went way out of his way to provide my family a dependable ride. He saw everything through from start to finish. When the car I found had been sold, he took the time to find a vehicle that met ou dependable ride. He saw everything through from start to finish. When the car I found had been sold, he took the time to find a vehicle that met our family needs. He went to bat and got me a fair trade in value and helped me walk through all the details. He even took time to look for something I thought I left behind. I would recommend Chris and this dealership to anyone looking for a car to purchase. More

Made appointment as my drive (something) program 6 month check up deadline was approaching. Brought car in 10-15 minutes before appointment time, everything checked out, but said battery was charged but onl check up deadline was approaching. Brought car in 10-15 minutes before appointment time, everything checked out, but said battery was charged but only at 40% capacity. Its 3 years old and I had left the dome light on and battery was dead a few weeks ago. However I jump started with my other vehicle in my garage, and it seemed ok to me. John K. said it be good to put trickle charger on it which I did and got it fully charged. Great advice. More

If you take your car to the Volvo dealership because it won't start, ask them to figure out why it won't. They say, "It's the fuel pump," then they replace the fuel pump and charge you for that service and won't start, ask them to figure out why it won't. They say, "It's the fuel pump," then they replace the fuel pump and charge you for that service and the parts... but when you get your car back, it still has the same problem; how should you feel if they tell you "You have to pay again if you want us to find and fix your problem." You already paid them to find the problem and fix it. The Volvo dealership screwed up by not following the proper diagnostic procedure - Reproduce the problem, Verify the Cause of the Problem, Fix the Problem, and Verify the Repair. In my example above, what they did is, they guessed. They replaced a flue injector in my car because that's what the mechanic assumed it would be, and that is what the computer was reporting per the dealership. The mechanic did not diagnose the problem; he just took a guess and installed a fuel pump. It didn't fix our issue, so they replaced the spark plugs, and I paid out of pocket for both repairs. I have already paid for the diagnosis; however, the issue continues, and at that point, Volvo dealerships' mechanics keep guessing about the problem my car is experiencing. On my second trip to the dealership, I asked the associate to show me the part they removed from the vehicle and have them demonstrate that it was indeed faulty. They told me that is impossible; they should keep removed parts on hand for at least a few days in case the customer wants to claim them because that is the law. I have every right to have any part taken from my vehicle returned to me. This situation violates law 815 ILSC 306/80 section 8. It is falsifying a repair that was initially not there or altering a motor vehicle to create a condition requiring a repair. Had the mechanic tested for the starter initially, as he should have, he would have realized that the starter wasn't working. Those two additional repairs were one hundred percent unnecessary. Therefore, I am submitting this request for reimbursement for the two services that the Lisle Volvo dealership performed without properly doing diagnostics on my vehicle. It isn't my fault that the Lisle Volvo dealership has hired negligent mechanics to work at their establishment. Reimbursable 1: dated 12/04/2023 - $ 1,533.69 Reimbursable 2: dated 12/26/2023 - $ 1,012.52 Total: $ 2,546.21 At this point, I was assured by the Lisle Volvo manager that this last repair had solved my problems. We are happy to pay for the repair deemed needed and accurate, which was the starter, which the advisor told us cost between $700-800. However, we are not interested in paying for the repairs noted above; if anything, the goodwill should be applied to the services above. More
