Don't ever think of buying a vehicle here. They immediately think you are a patsy by charging $199 for nitrogen in the tires and near $1000 for paint protection. What dealer does that? Only the ones preying upon price ignorant suckers. They are overstocked with sales staff that are only lackies to the suit and tie sales manager. When another dealer asked to buy a car from them they don't even answer the phone - it is email only and then they don't even respond. More
I would strongly recommend anyone else for service work on your vehicle before going to the service department at National Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram in Jacksonville, NC. I had my Ram 1500 towed there on an i on your vehicle before going to the service department at National Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram in Jacksonville, NC. I had my Ram 1500 towed there on an insurance claim since they were the closest Ram dealer to me, thinking it would be easier for them to acquire parts and repair the truck quicker. After 4 months of back and forth with them I was finally able to get my truck back repaired. To paraphrase my experience, I was lied to on several occasions from service department representatives as well as the assistant service manager. I have voiced my issues with them as well as other managers within the company so none of this should come as a surprise, but I am very impressed that some employees may continue to work there under the known fact that they lie to their customers. This review surely won’t change anything within the company, but it may save someone else the trouble I went through. The damage to my truck was caused by rodents chewing up some wiring under the hood. After having my truck taken there, I was assigned a representative from service (Darrell Graham), and I immediately gave him my observations about a couple of broken wiring harnesses, a fog light detached, and my battery cover being chewed to shreds. After running some diagnostics, Darrell and his team deemed a module was bad and we had to order a new one which delayed the process about a month and a half since it was a nationally back-ordered part. As the time passed and I continued to ask for updates, Darrell offered a dealer loaner vehicle while I wait on my truck, so I thought the relationship was going alright. The next day on my way to the dealership to pick it up, he called and said he couldn’t provide the vehicle anymore and that I would just have to wait for mine. I imagine this was due to the unknown amount of time my truck would be there; it would have just been better if he didn't offer something he couldn't provide. After a couple of months, the module arrived and Darrell called to say my truck was ready to go. I had my insurance company send them a check and he said to give it a couple of days for the check to arrive, then I could come pick it up. Sure enough, a couple of days later, as I was planning to get it, I got a call saying the truck is not ready and they have to ask for additional money to run more tests. I took a visit to the dealership to see what was going on to find the part was never test fitted before calling it good, and it had nothing to do with the damage done by the rodents. I requested a different service representative in hopes of cutting out the lies Darrell had been feeding me, and Holdridge Greene was assigned to my truck. He seemed to have much better personal skills than Darrell and was much more helpful, though he didn’t receive any kind of information turnover from Darrell which was unfortunate because I could’ve had my truck much sooner. The next time I was told my truck was ready I drove out there to discover the service department had not billed my insurance company, so we had to start over with that and leave the truck there while the bill got paid out. Then, once the money arrived, I went back out there to pick it up only to discover the initial problems I identified with Darrell had not yet been fixed, even though he told me in person they had been taken care of. After another short argument about whether those fixes were covered in the repair cost that was already paid out, I decided to send some emails out to the managers to get some more eyes on the service department. Fortunately, I was able to finally grab my truck the next day. All said and done, the wait time came out to 4 months with a total of 200 miles driven back and forth to the dealership to either communicate with them because they don’t seem to care to use their phones, or because I was told my truck was done when it still required work.
