I recently shopped for a car at White Plains Honda. After negotiating the price with the salesman, we were sent to the finance manager. After a long bait-and-switch style tactic, I was presented with a contract to sign that included charges we never agreed to and a price about $3000 higher. When I examined the contract, I saw an additional charge for $2500. When I questioned him, he then stated it was for an extended warranty. Never up to this point did he ever mention mention an additional cost of $2500 among others. Up to this point, he stated that the extended warranty was INCLUDED in the financing and that it was a benefit of financing it with Honda Finance. When pressed, he changed his story stating it was required in order to obtain financing, and later that it would reduces the interest rate. Be careful of White Plains Honda finance department scams. I wouldn't go ever go there again. A word of warning, don't sign contracts without examining and questioning every charge up front before wasting time with their distractions. Better yet, use a respectable volume buying service from AAA, Costco, SAMS, etc. to help pre-negotiate the price for you before go to the dealership. P.S. You can get the extended warranty cheaper buy shopping around different dealers for about $1200-1500 from what I've read. More

We bought a certified used Honda, 2009 Odyssey from White Plains Honda. This was by far the best experience I've ever had purchasing a car. I dealt with Sandy, Juan, Gustavo, and Joe the manager. I was kinda hesitant at first due to my traumatizing experience in a previous car dealer..So we went together to the car dealership and we were so amazed by their warm accommodation with us. The transaction went fast that i even got a chance to go to a Dr.'s appointment and just came back to the dealership to pick up the vehicle. :) Mr. Gus Rengifo was also there to help us out.. He was very nice and really explained to me the contract clearly.. To the both of you, thank you for making our honda experience a really satisfying one.. I recently purchased a new Honda CRV from White Plains Honda. I worked with salesman Peter Messina. I had been shopping around for awhile for makes other than Honda. I really thought I was going to be stopping into Honda just to humor other family members and ended up in love with my new car. However a huge part of that was the sales team and Peter in particular. He answered every single question we had, made himself incredibly accessible and entertained every single request we had so that we could make sure that I was 100% ok with getting this car. I honestly thought I was going to hate it and hate the dealership (having not had great experiences with other dealerships in the past) and I'm completely overjoyed. I didn't feel like it was a pressured sale. I actually thought there wasn't a chance in the world I was going to buy a CRV and things went so smoothly (big thanks to Peter!) that I was ready to buy almost immediately. When it came down to the actual purchase, they worked with us on the price we had in mind (within reason of course) and made it happen and it was absolutely painless. I had no buyer's remorse, I didn't feel like I was lied to or pressured or anything. As a matter of fact, I've seen other cars since then that I had been considering and have absolutely no regrets. I think that's largely due to White Plains Honda and Peter Messina in particular. Peter is no nonsense, incredibly professional, incredibly friendly and most importantly you don't feel like you're being lied to. He explained numbers to us in a way that was clear and understandable. I never felt talked down to as a woman. I got my CRV with everything I wanted and in the awesome red that I had my heart set on. I seriously thought I was going to drive him insane but he was amazing through everything. Brandi, the delivery coordinator was absolutely awesome as well. She went through every single thing on the car with my mom, since she will be driving it, and even went through some things twice. She was also unbelievably friendly. A gorgeous woman who honestly knew about cars and was incredibly friendly - I definitely haven't seen that anywhere except for White Plains Honda. And when Peter and Brandi said we could contact them after if we needed anything I honestly believed it. Between Peter, Brandi and Gustavo, buying the car was painless and even fun as weird as it sounds. I have already recommended White Plains Honda to family and will continue to recommend them to family, friends and anyone looking for a new car. More
