Simple and simply outstanding Greg Frey is fantastic! I am very selective about my vehicles and have always bought from individuals instead of from companies. I originally went in just looking to test drive a Jeep, and Greg was very friendly, honest, direct, and accommodating. It was the first dealership where the salesman actually talked with me and didn't immediately ask for all of my contact info and such before even looking at cars, which I really appreciated. He spent time answering all of my questions and actually seemed happy to be there working with me. We spent two hours test driving different Jeeps, and he arranged for me to take a Latitude home for two days (I visited on a Saturday, so I returned it on Monday). In the meantime, Greg found me the exact Latitude to fit my wish list, which was extensive: Preferred Safety package, Cold Weather package, Comfort/convenience package, V6 engine, Panoramic Sunroof, Uconnect with navigation, dark cloth interior, etc! He explained the cost structure and financing packages in a way that was very easy to understand and feel comfortable about. The Latitude was located and brought to Champaign within 24 hours, and after a short test drive, I left the dealership with my new Jeep and I couldn't be happier! The man who did the financing, Jim, was also great at explaining all the paperwork and details, and he helped arrange for a lower finance rate than previously discussed and an extended warranty. I also had two vehicles to trade in and received an excellent offer for both. Such a relief! My experience buying a new vehicle from Champaign Chrysler Jeep, and in particular, Greg Frey, was simple and simply outstanding. Thanks for such great customer service! More

Very satisfied! I bought a nice pre-owned Mazda from Greg Frey and staff. Right after I signed for the As-Is car I noticed a metal clanking sound coming from under th I bought a nice pre-owned Mazda from Greg Frey and staff. Well the time had come to go looking. My wife had done alot of research online and we had it narrowed down to a Durango or Acadia. Our first stop while shopping was this dealership. We were met by Greg Frey and as he came walking towards us my wife rolled her eyes and completely expected the standard line we have been given every other time we went shopping. Something unexpected happened though...no sales pitch, no "what do you want your payment to be", no hassle. All Greg did was what we wanted him to do. He told us about the car. After test driving it with Greg he asked us to meet his sales manager before we left. We then assumed the pitch was coming. Nope! The manager sat down with us, introduced himself and told us to keep them in mind if we choose the Durango. We were really impressed to tell you the truth. After a couple of days of thinking about and test driving the Acadia, we decided to go with the Durango. I called Greg and offered a price. Greg called me back and told me that they couldn't do our price, but got so close to our price that it was a no brainer. We even agreed on the price of our trade in over the phone. This buying experience at this dealership was seamless. I really have nothing bad to say and would recommend Greg and the managers here. Ask for Greg if you want an easy going, no hassle salesmen More

Incompetent staff We purchased a used car from this dealer. The two important things to note is that the staff is dishonest and incompetent. They claimed repeatedly We purchased a used car from this dealer. The two important things to note is that the staff is dishonest and incompetent. They claimed repeatedly that it was a one owner used car, but the CarFax did not support that, and right in the glovebox was a sales contract with Champaign Chrysler, and state vehicle registration papers, from a second buyer who paid monies and actually did put 6000 miles on the car. They claimed that technically the buyer did not buy it because it was never titled in their name. Still, wouldn't you think it worth mentioning that someone made a down payment, took it home, registered it, and drove it 6000 miles? Not until I pointed out the discrepancies did I get more of the story. The dealership literally sneaks in a $200 "VIN etching' into your final price without asking whether you want it. It is wise to carefully review the final papers carefully before signing. The sales staff generally seems to have little clue how the whole business operates. The salesperson , in the absence of the business manager, could not explain exactly how the payment would be accepted, what papers I should receive, where a second set of keys might be, and on and on. I can't believe they sell cars here everyday and don't know much about the process. The salesperson promised a follow up about when the last oil change was done on the car, I was also promised that the staff would contact the previous owner for possible information about the missing set of keys. But of course I never heard another peep out of them. More
