I have dealt almost exclusively with Greg Cohen since i first came to Colonial Volkswagen ( Iwas using Britton's of Beverly until they burned down and was recommended to visit Colonial). Anytime I have any issue or question I call Greg. He is very accessible and quick to get back to me if he has to look into something. Jay Giacoppo is another individual I have had dealings with, he is very friendly and accommodating, has actually come out and talked with me on many occasions when waiting for service. I am coming from the North Shore, there is a Volkswagen dealership near me, but I am willing to take the ride to Medford because I feel the experience is first class. Passing the Buck I am disappointed with how the dealership is taking responsibility for the fact their company sold me a car that was different from the one they told I am disappointed with how the dealership is taking responsibility for the fact their company sold me a car that was different from the one they told me I was buying. I bought a diesel for the: (1) MPG; (2) resale value; and (3) the environment. I paid a premium for these reasons. I don't want them to pass the buck to VW USA and profess they are helpless to take ownership of the fact they sold me this car. I also don't want them to tell me I should not be upset because the car is "safe" to drive. There are financial ramifications that are mine now due to the fact this dealer and this dealer alone sold me a car that is different from the one they professed to sell me, and they should be better about owning that right up front. And, by the way, Greg Cohen from the start was full of puffery about the mileage capabilities of the car that were not true. He said that the estimated mileage was xxx, but many of our customers get in the high 40s or even 50. That set my expectations, and even with the cheated emissions process they employed to keep the mileage up there, I found Greg's statements to be prototypical of your "classic salesperson" and not true. More

Long story short, my car needed extensive repairs so I decided to explore my options, which included meeting with Greg Cohen. After chatting for only a few minutes he suggested a couple of cars, which I took for test-drives while my old car was getting diagnosed in the Service Department. Meeting Greg was time most well spent that I can remember. He is a great listener, no-pressure, knowledgeable, friendly, and one of the easiest people to get along with I have had the pleasure of meeting thus far. I never felt comfortable walking into any other car dealership regardless of the reason. At Colonial VW of Medford I felt welcomed and free to look around, talk with anyone, and sit in any car. Never felt a drop of pressure, which is why I was bringing my car there for repairs. Now that I have met Greg Cohen in sales and Kasser in finance, I highly recommend Colonial VW of Medford to anyone. More

Between the running around (literally) done by Greg and the professionalism of Ken Cataldo, the GM, to the finance mgr.every possible effort was made to make it all happen within my 3 hr. time frame and that's just what they did. Evaluating my vehicle was agreeable and fair, all the paperwork, cleaning the new vehicle, giving me a free fill-up, free pizza, etc. All I can say is you will not find a group of folks more committed to putting you in the vehicle of your choice anywhere in the Boston area. More
