The vehicle is included in a lawsuit where Subaru’s Foresters between 2016-2020 were found to have faulty computer/engine systems that drain the battery through time. For two years, my brother and I mentioned to their associate Jason that the battery was having issues, and that the auto-ignition feature would fail and leave us stranded. He told us he looked into it multiple times and that there was no issue, even though he must have been aware of this lawsuit. We checked our service records, and it was clear that he never even had their technicians check to see if there was an issue, as there was no mention in any of the records. Then the auto-ignition failed because the battery died while my brother was in stop-and-go traffic IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. My brother could have been killed or injured trying to get the car off of a busy highway if two passersby didn’t help him. It was only after this when we took the car to the dealership that we found out about this lawsuit, because they emailed me saying I was included in it. But instead of owning up to this being the issue, they tried to lie and tell me that they were replacing my battery for free out of the kindness of their hearts. They refused to admit fault and actually tried to make themselves look like angels. I gave Jason a 1 point rating review in their survey they sent me, and now they no longer send me surveys when I come in for service. So clearly they keep their high ratings because they brush all of their mistakes under the rug and refuse to give surveys to anyone they’ve wronged. That’s how they’ve kept their rating as the “top Subaru deal ship in the country.” This is a very shady dealership. I would not purchase from them if I were someone looking to buy a new vehicle. More

I purchased my Subaru Forester from Tucson Subaru new and purchased the extended warranty on the assurance that the service department would carefully inspect the vehicle when I brought it in for service (fo purchased the extended warranty on the assurance that the service department would carefully inspect the vehicle when I brought it in for service (foolish, I know). I had the vehicle serviced at the dealer for every service interval since its purchase. However, they missed major premature deterioration of the bushings on the lower control arms that should have been replaced before the warranty expired. I even brought the vehicle in complaining of a shimmy before the warranty expired and the service department didn't find anything. I finally got fed-up with the problem and checked myself. Five minutes of labor later and I discovered the completely destroyed bushings. When I contacted the service department they took no accountability for missing the problem and did nothing to help, other than offer to schedule me for a full price repair. There are far better mechanics out there that will actually keep your car in safe working order for significantly lower cost. Avoid Tucson Subaru and save yourself some money and aggravation. I will not be returning. More
