I don’t even live in Brandon, yet I continue to return to this dealership because of the exceptional service I’ve received. I originally bought my vehicle here based on word-of-mouth recommendations, and I’v this dealership because of the exceptional service I’ve received. I originally bought my vehicle here based on word-of-mouth recommendations, and I’ve stayed loyal to their service department ever since, despite living over an hour away. That loyalty is thanks to Don Negri. Not only is he warm and personable, but he consistently makes me feel confident that both my vehicle and my best interests are in good hands. Don is the reason I keep coming back. More

I was on time for a 9am appointment. I was there for a 30 minute recall item. I left at 11:15. I should not have to be there that long. I’ll consider that when I need maintenance done. I brought my vehicle in to Brandon Honda for a service inquiry because my daughter informed me that the engine light came on. Prior to brining the vehicle in, I check to see what codes registered. The cod inquiry because my daughter informed me that the engine light came on. Prior to brining the vehicle in, I check to see what codes registered. The codes that appeared were P1454 and P2422. I looked up those codes to see what would trigger them. After that I brought the vehicle into Brando. Honda the next morning. Later on that day my wife received a call from Don and he explained that his tech informed him that the cause for those codes were due to water being in the evap canister. We asked him how was that possible, he replied with the car had to go through a flood. And we responded with it hasn’t rained were we live for awhile now and our area does not flood when it does rain and that the tech prognosis couldn’t be right. Don proceeding by saying that it could have happened during the hurricane. We replied with the last Hurricane was 3 months ago, then Don replied well “I’m just saying, it could have been a month ago, a week ago”. Again statement still didn't make sense to us, because again there hasn’t been any rain warranted for cause flood like waters for water to be in the evap canister. We felt like this was just a money grab to get us to pay money on something that wasn’t true. Ended up making the drive to the Honda dealership we bought the car from and they informed us CVS valve was not operating properly and that there was fuel inside the evap canister and not “WATER”. Don was my advisor and he did a great job explaining what I should get done at my next visit since I didn’t want to do it today. Great experience and definitely will request Don from now on.
