Out of all the dealerships we’ve visited, this was by far the most disappointing experience. From start to finish, the interaction lacked professionalism, respect, and basic courtesy. The salesman greeted the most disappointing experience. From start to finish, the interaction lacked professionalism, respect, and basic courtesy. The salesman greeted us late and brought out the wrong vehicle, despite us clearly discussing the correct model beforehand. Once we sat down to review numbers, I mentioned that other dealerships had offered $1,500–$2,000 off MSRP. Rather than addressing that, he asked me to “give him a number.” I replied that I’d like 10% off MSRP — a reasonable starting point for negotiation. His response was to toss me a calculator and tell me to figure it out myself because he was “bad at math.” He then asked me to “fake sign” a paper as a show of commitment — a pointless gesture — before returning with no counteroffer or clear response. When I asked for clarification, he threw out random figures like $500, $600, or $1,200 without explanation, then admitted he didn’t know where those numbers came from. At no point did anyone attempt to respectfully engage in a legitimate negotiation or provide a clear out-the-door price. Our input was ignored repeatedly, and the conversation felt dismissive and unprofessional. When our salesperson took our offer to the sales manager, the manager loudly said, “Man up and sign the paper,” clearly intending for us to overhear it. That kind of behavior is entirely unacceptable in a professional setting. As we decided to leave rather than continue dealing with the games and disrespect, the manager capped things off by calling us “a bunch of xxxx washers.” Every other dealership we visited treated us with honesty and respect — qualities this dealership clearly lacks. Though buying a car is a pain, the good folks at Joseph's Toyota made it less painful. Several sales associates helped us with the process. All were polite and helpful.
