Lack of communication was the main issue. I left my car and was told it would take several days, but I had to repeatedly track down my service advisor just to get updates. Every time I spoke I left my car and was told it would take several days, but I had to repeatedly track down my service advisor just to get updates. Every time I spoke with him, it felt like I was bothering him. Twice he told me he would call the next day with an update, and both times he never did. On top of that, his demeanor felt unprofessional. He kept calling me “buddy.” I’m not expecting a royal greeting, but a standard, professional form of address would be more appropriate. Customers need to plan their time just as you plan yours when scheduling appointments. The same consideration applies in reverse—clear communication helps us organize our day and make necessary arrangements. You’d think this would be common sense, but customers simply want to know when they can expect their car to be ready. And if there’s a delay or an issue, a courtesy call with an update would go a long way. More
