Purchased my brand Chevy Colorado from NW Chevrolet of Bellingham. The salesman Tin was great of understanding what I was looking for when I went there and helped me tremendously! Update: as of today 3-12-25 This whole car buying with this dealership has been pretty horrible, I tried look past the fact that I went in there the first time to check out a truck that I was interested in cause I never drove one of them yet. Liked it a lot but told them this wasn’t something that I needed cause this was a want over a need. They said they would be pretty aggressive with getting me an awesome deal on the truck and on my trade in and I was like woah I’ll hear it out. After a while they had some great numbers that they showed me so I did the deal, but I made a mistake and didn’t pay attention to one piece of paper that they didn’t say anything about, for me to get this “awesome”deal and supposedly get this approved by the bank they taken my on sale truck to $46k back up to not sale price of $50k and that they had to add a service contract of almost $7k that they secretly added somehow , (I missed that in the paper work and I don’t know how or why I did)and they manipulate numbers for my trade in to think I was getting a great value was just made to look that way and that’s also why they added the service contract to get there money back essentially, so to me it look like a great deal but it wasn’t and they required me to put $6k down. Hopefully this all makes sense to anybody. I have bought cars before but I have never encountered this behavior before from a dealership. So after all this and over 2 weeks latter my trade in wasn’t paid off , I understand it can take a while but I tried multiple times communicating with my sales person and the finance manager about what was happening cause the car that I traded in had a payment due , didn’t want to pay on a car I haven’t had for over 2 weeks and I didn’t want to hurt my credit or my great payment history and I was told that if I wanted to protect my credit or anything that I should make the payment cause their payment for the trade in can take a while to process so I felt I had no choice so I did. After more weeks gone by nothing has still happen, I reached out to them and went in to talk to them several times and reached out to the bank for the trade in and they said nothing has happened no payment or communication for the Bellingham Chevrolet. So here I am again over a month and half later and I have to pay on a car plus interest on a car I haven’t had for a month and a half and have to pay on my new one I got from them. I get it a sale is a sale, money is money and they are a business but what a weird way to do it. I understand why they were so nice before the sale and I know why now why they wanted me and my girlfriend to write a review while we waited for the numbers cause yeah they were all cool. Just please check your paper work before signing anything, I missed stuff and I honestly don’t know how. I know they didn’t say anything to me about anything. Just how was this payment and I was it’s high but I think I can do it, and didn’t realize all the crazy stuff they added. And they did it twice to us, I was happy that first day that the next day we got my girlfriend a car and they somehow did the same thing and added over $7k service contract to here loan somehow and that’s a whole another ordeal. Well if anybody reads this or this far anyways, just be careful. Cause I know they didn’t say or go over the service contracts for either of us and I’m not sure if there are cameras in the finance office cause sensitive stuff but it doesn’t feel right about any of this. I did save my text and every time I called them I recorded the conversation and recorded my in person conversation. Dealer was either ignorant or lying about on star and Sirius length or free trial. I felt they under cut me on trade in value. They could not explain why the loan amount was far more than the amount they Sirius length or free trial. I felt they under cut me on trade in value. The manager who finally came out and explained everything was very respectful and informative. Still have not heard from the guy to install fifthwheel hitch. Even tho I feel they could of given me a better deal I do think they were very kind and respectful and answered most my questions as honestly as they could. More
