Update: The Service Manager has been working with me to get a list of what was worked on, they call it a MPI. He has also been responsive to my emails. I am still waiting on the My Lexus service record to get a list of what was worked on, they call it a MPI. He has also been responsive to my emails. I am still waiting on the My Lexus service record to have the mileage adjusted to the correct mileage. Called in for a multi-point inspection on a recently purchased higher miles GX 460. I wanted to know and get fixed all that it needed. I knew several things were needed like a small coolant leak and leaking struts. I wanted to make sure the vehicle was looked over well so I placed small pieces of tape on the Lexus engine bay fasteners and on other areas. I don't just trust peoples word, but hoped bringing it to the Lexus dealership would be a better experience. While at the dealership I decided to go with a full 150K mile service as it just made sense to. Their were a few items I requested not to have done such as the oil change (just did my own a week prior). When I got home, I checked under the hood and was very disappointed to see my taped areas undisturbed. The service receipt only listed 1. brake fluid, 2. fuel and oil additives, 3. a "complementary" car wash, and 4. a "complementary" multi-point inspection. It also said 150k service at the top. I called my service rep, Cody, to talk about my concern that my vehicle was not serviced. He talked about how I was only charged for what was on the receipt. That would mean I paid $330 for a brake bleed and the engine additives (like $10 each at Autozone). Worse I found my brake reservoir still taped... I was told they fill the brakes through a different way. This could be true from what I have read, but my trust in the service still is not high. I then found my mileage was listed as 192K miles. All this has made me very skeptical that anything was actually done on my vehicle. When I asked about the inspection I was told that everything looks good (remember that I know I have a coolant leak somewhere, and leaky struts). Cody the service rep told me he would send me over the notes from the tech. It never came and I called back for 5 day and he sent me to voicemail without reaching back out to me. After another week I called Lexus of America. After a month from all this I got an email from the service manager. He said he was asked to send me over something. That something was a list of what is included in the 150K mile service. I told him I was not looking for what the recommended service items were but the notes from my original service and getting my concerns fixed. I don't know if I can trust the service center to make this right, but the service manager did ask if I wanted to go back over anything I felt they didn't do. I really hope this can be rectified. I am going to need to buy parts and have repairs done. I don't want to have to drive down to Atlanta because I can't trust this operation. I did not feel the "Lexus" experience but I sure did have a "unforgettable experience". More
