Unfortunately after being very satisfied with two pervious purchases from Destination I can not give the same positive feedback concerning our recent purchase. The pre owned vehicle that prompted my pervious purchases from Destination I can not give the same positive feedback concerning our recent purchase. The pre owned vehicle that prompted my wife and I made an appointment to see had been sold so it was suggested perhaps another would meet our criteria which we feel we made very clear by stating we would be replacing a 2017 Rouge SL and did not want to go backwards as far a features. Turns out the dealership had nothing on the lot to match, instead pushed a Rouge with the SV features. Finding that unsatisfactory it was suggested that perhaps a Murano which we were told it included more features as standard, like heated seats and heated steering wheel. After sitting in the dealership for four hours we agreed to purchase the Murano with understanding at least Homelink garage door opener would be installed. Other features would be missed. It wasn’t until after all of the paper work and we were driving it out of the lot we realized it did not have the heated steering wheel nor the power lift gate. The response was basically “oh well you should looked closer Before your purchase, and you could come back and trade it for another car off the lot” It’s been a month and no other vehicles have appeared in the online listing that match the SL trim line we had emphasized. On Friday the Homelink mirror was installed and after working all weekend in the cold trying to program it I learned today from my own research that the mirror was not a Homelink product but rather a Chamberlain product sold through Nissan. The programming was simple once my own research turned up the proper procedure! Needless to say Destination’s desire to make my wife and I happy has only gone in the opposite direction. As a note of interest and background. The Murano is our sixth Nissan, each pervious one driven over 200,000 trouble free miles. Unfortunately it will probably be the last since Nissan has abandoned the very reliable 2.5L 4 cylinder and 3.5l 6 cylinder engine for the to-date unreliable turbo changed engines. Both of my sons also drive reliable non turbo changed Nissans. More
