Chris' game plan of working smarter, not harder plus maintaining a positive attitude has worked as evidenced by the fact that only four years ago he was hired by Autohaus as a porter and is now a client service advisor. It helps that he grew up around BMWs turning him into a certified "car guy". He enjoys watching motosport racing (ALMS, Formula One). Chris also likes to watch the Cardinals, NISA and NCAA basketball as well as PGA Tour Golf. He also plays golf.

Friendly Service Chris Clem has been my goto service advisor at BMW Autohaus. I feel that he has my best interests in mind any time I bring my vehicle in for service. Chris Clem has been my goto service advisor at BMW Autohaus. I feel that he has my best interests in mind any time I bring my vehicle in for service. I've never felt the typical up-sell tactics I've experience at other non-BMW dealerships which has earned the trust I have in Chris and Autohaus BMW. Work performed has always been well documented and clearly communicated whenever my car was ready for pick up. On my most recent visit, the cost of repair for a new AC compressor and door actuators was very expensive. I had to deny the request for service due to the cost, and Chris was very respectful of my decision and not once did he try to pressure me into having Autohaus do the work, nor did he speak badly about the non-dealer repair shop I opted to take my car to. I take my car there because I feel problems are diagnosed correctly the first time, and are repaired to the highest standards. The only downfall Autohaus has going for them is the cost of their parts and labor. If only they could come down in their pricing, I would continue to take my car there. More

Finally a BMW dealership in STL w/ OUTSTANDING Customer Svc! I've been to Plaza. They lie and treat you like you're a burden to them. I've been to West County and they're just plain inept. Finally! Finally, I found a BMW dealership that offers THE BEST customer service of them all in the STL area. Customer service that is on par with the expectation I had when I first bought my BMW. Great customer service! I purchased my car from Autohaus 8 years ago and have been taking it there for service ever since. My service advisor, Chris Clem, makes everything so easy. Scheduling an appointment at a time that is convenient for me is a breeze and when I have something wrong with my car that needs immediate attention he manages to get me appointment that day. As soon as I arrive I'm greeted by several different people who are always so nice and helpful. Chris tells me what service is due for my car, explains my options, pricing and helps me figure out on which repairs my money will be best spent during that visit. If I need one, he always has a loaner car available for me which makes taking my car in for service even more convenient. My time is never wasted when I bring my car in for service, I'm always in and out and on my way as efficiently as possible without feeling like I'm being rushed out the door. Chris always calls me as soon as my car is ready for pick up instead of at the very end of the day like some other places do. This allows me time to pick up my car at my convenience. At no point in my service visit am I kept waiting, from drop off to assessment to pick up and payment everyone is very attentive and friendly. Before my car is returned to me it is always washed and vacuumed which is a nice perk. I highly recommend Autohaus Service Department and definitely ask for Chris. More

First off - let me say that I am a BMW enthusiast. I've owned BMW's for over 30 years so I am well-grounded in the brand, the BMW ownership experience, and the automobiles - in quite fine detail. The car that I brought into Autohaus is a low mileage, mint condition 2006 M3. This car is very important to me - so the decision on where to take it for service was a studied and deliberate one. The service that I experienced on this visit to Autohaus (April 4th 2014) was absolutely outstanding - and believe me, I am extremely particular. Chris Clem did a fantastic job coordinating the service - taking an ownership interest to ensure that the car was handled with great care and that the service was accomplished in a thorough fashion. My sense through the experience was that Chris is a car enthusiast himself, and therefore has a very intuitive sense of what a customer who is an enthusiast expects from a service perspective. Consequently you don't have to spend a lot of time explaining what you expect to Chris - he immediately just "gets it." The value and quality of this approach to me is in keeping with the value and quality of the vehicle itself. Bottom line - the service experience could not have been handled better. I am very satisfied with Chris's work, with the quality of work done by the BMW technician (this was an expert and skilled professional for sure), and Autohaus overall. Very highly recommended! More

Great Customer Experience I recently visited Autohaus BMW in St. Louis. Chris Clem worked with me to get my BMW serviced in a timely manner. He got me into a loaner vehicle and properly set my expectation to plan on keeping the loaner overnight due to the workload. First thing the next morning I received a call that my car was ready and to come by at my convenience. When I picked up my car it was clean and finally back to good working order. Once home I realized I had left my Ipad in the loaner vehicle. That vehicle was already back on the road and Chris tracked down the car's driver and was able to get my ipad back to me very timely. Overall a great experience. I would recommend Chris and his team. More

I could not have been more happy or satisfied with the customer service I received at the Autohaus. They got my car in right away. I did not have to wait. This was my first experience with Autohaus BMW service. My initial call was promptly answered by Chris Clem who then took complete ownership of my needs. When I arrived for the appointment Mr. Clem was waiting for me with everything prepared in advance and I was in and out of the dealership in a matter of minutes. Later that day, as promised, he called me with a clear and concise explanation of the required repairs, verified the parts were in stock, provided an itemized list of the parts and labor cost and an expected time of completion. I authorized the repairs and everything was completed as he said they would be. When I arrived to pick up the car and settle my account once again Mr. Clem had everything prepared in advance. My account was settled promptly and hassle free with Chris there to make sure things went smoothly. Chris Clem was polite, prompt and knowledgeable throughout the whole process. Autohaus should be proud to have him as a member of their team! I will certainly come to Autohaus from now on for servicing my BMW. More
